Rated 5 out of 5 by from Source of Replacement blades I am laying 3/4" hardwood oak flooring in our home and have about 3/4 of it done. Up to now I have been using a table saw and compound miter saw set up in the garage. This required a lot of walking back and forth from the second floor for every cut. To save time and steps I recently purchased this saw. I have not had occasion to use it extensively but I find it very well designed and well built. The high blade speed results in nice clean cuts. Because the life of the blade appears to be an issue I tried to find, at the very beginning, without success, a source for Skil replacement blades. No one has them. Although Skil lists the part number on their website there is no provision to order these particular blades from them. Then I discovered that my home away from home (as my wife says), the Home Depot, already carries a perfect replacement blade. Freud makes an identical blade, other than that it has 4 fewer teeth. They call it a "Trim Saw" blade. It is a thin kerf blade, 4.375" diameter with a 20 mm arbor, and it is rated for 14,000 RPM. It is pricey at $41.00 but Freud make excellent blades. The number of teeth has more to do with the price of a blade than the diameter, and it is after all a specialty blade. I picked up two blades and suspect that, as they are Freud blades, they will last longer than the original blade on the saw. I love the concept of this saw and look forward to using it.
