Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great! They really are worth it compared to cheaper stick-on tiles. They were easy to install and cut. I paired these with a strip of red smaller tiles and they look really sharp. Friends and family were surprised that they weren't real tiles - so that is pretty good. The only thing I would suggest to improve this product is measurement lines on the back which would help to keep lines level and straight. Just a thought. But I am extremely happy with them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from White Subway Tiles The white subway tiles are wonderful and look great paired with another smart tile we purchased to do a backsplash in our ensuite and tub surround. However, the new edge tiles we purchased at the same time to outline the backsplash are not as good. The first 4 packages were great and worked fine, but the final 4 packages seemed to have some sort of oil substance on them and they are not sticking well at all.

We used them for a back splash in our kitchen and the end result is fantastic! The only issue we had was the person in the store told us they wouldn't work for our cottage. But after contacting the manufacturer, they said YES they will work and guaranteed them. They were upset that we were given the wrong information at the store. So we purchased them via the internet. Thank you Smart Tiles!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beware of copies! Home Depot now has two greatly identical products in store. I got caught in June 2013 by purchasing what I believed to be Smart Tiles while I was visiting my Mom in Vancouver. I installed the tiles once I came back home. Shortly after the installation, the tiles began to fall off and found alot on the ground. Upset and ready to protest at my local store, I realized that I bought other similar looking tiles that are not made in Canada! My mistake. So I immediately returned to buy Smart Tiles, that are made in Canada! I removed what was left of the other tiles still on my wall, cleaned the wall as suggested on Smart Tiles packaging and started the installation. It's been five months now and nothing has moved on my wall even after the great heat of summer and the great cold of winter. The colour has not changed either. Smart Tiles, this is the product I needed. And to be honest, I compared the Smart Tiles with the other tiles afterwards, and Smart Tiles are a much better quality tile. Forewarned is forearmed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked for me!!! The size of the tile were really good. The con is that it is thin so you can’t man handle them. It’s thin where it’s flexible to move however with enough force you can tear it. I used about 20 packs. That one partisan wall is 10x3ft. Being the picky person I am I just wish that the grout line border on the ends of the tile were the same spacing because when you overlap some are thicker bands of white annoying and can look cheap. Maybe that’s what the other commenter was talking about. I took more time to trim them down where needed so it would look seem less and it worked out beautifully. If I can add a picture I will it to show you. Don’t laugh!! Also agin being the picky person I am due to the wall and my flooring not leveled I had to add grout in the corners to have that nice seemless look and down to the floor used white tile grout because i laid the tile myself. I used white grout to give a finished edge. My construction worker of a hubby thought I was nuts for doing but I say tomato/tomahto. It worked just fine. I would have to blast my whole bathroom to accommodate tiles. That’s expensive. Have patience and have fun.

Are these appropriate for a backsplash behind a gas stove?

I am just worried about them peeling off due to the heat. The description says they will peel after heated by a hair dryer, so what about the heat rising from a stove or oven?

Not for shower use. Is it that the glue of the tile will let go with extreme moisture? I am looking to install right over an existing acrylic tub surround that is still water-tight, but just ugly . Would it be OK to use these in my case?

Hello Thank you for your interest in the Smart Tiles. Once Smart Tiles have completely adhered to the surface - generally after 48 hours - they are resistant to the humidity of bathrooms and water splash. However, it is highly inadvisable to install them in the shower. They cannot be in direct contact with running water, they will not keep their adherence.
