Rated 3 out of 5 by from Abris korado mal conçu.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Korado all good but the windows?? We like and use it almost every day. We Were surprised to find out “PVC Windows” is actually plastic film, or heavy duty cling wrap. Not sure how it will stand up during a Manitoba winter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good We bought this to replace our canvas top gazebo thinking it would extend our season in southern Ontario and would be able to use it during rain. It passes the rain test (torrential downpour) but finding on a sunny summer day it gets very hot inside, we didn’t consider how much the metal roof heats up even with all the windows open. I’ve had to put up dark drapes and a use a table fan which helps but it’s still radiating heat off the roof. It took 1 ½ days to install, a couple of things in other instructions were backwards not all in all it’s a good room. Just consider where you are placing the solarium and expect heat from the sun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Made I bought this a couple months ago and it came in large boxes. The parts were easy to recognize with the directions. It went together easy and all the parts fit nicely. The building looks great and held together regardless of the rain and hail that we had. I did not check with the bi laws in this city as anything larger than a 10 x 10 needs a building permit so please check with your laws in your place of residence. I am totally pleased with the look and the way the building went together.

Is there a wind rating of any kind on this unit

Asked by: Gmd2007
Hi! We do not have wind or snow load ratings unfortunately. However, it is important to install the solarium on a level surface and anchor it to the ground as soon as the installation is complete, making sure it is well squared, to keep it from moving or becoming damaged in strong winds. You can use tapcon screws for concrete surfaces, and wood screws for wood surfaces. (Anchoring hardware is not included) Feel free to contact us at 1-866-901-1649 or by email at sojag.info@shelterlogic.com for any additional information and we will be happy to help you. Thank you for your interest in Sojag products and have a great day!

Can this be placed of a raised deck? If the deck is already built will the deck need additional reinforcements to support the weight?

Asked by: SSun
Hello, you just need to make sure your deck will be strong enough to support the solarium. The weight of this unit is around 477 lbs. It needs to be anchored down to your deck.

The dimensions say its 8ft high. The roof is clearly taller where its mounted at house that it is at the other end. Is 8 feet the high end the low end?

Asked by: ajo218
Yes, it's 8ft at the low end then goes higher towards the house.

Does it have to be mounted directly to the house, or can it just be bolted down to a deck?

Asked by: 818ADAM
It is designed to be bolted to the house. It just sits on the deck. Great product. The roofing is a bit hard to put up. Will need two people. We love ours.
