Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would Buy it Again I live in the country in SW Ontario where the wind blows and where I have grown tired of buying a new umbrella every year so this year I bought the gazebo. My son-in-law erected it in about six hours, he's handy. So far we have not even screwed it down and it has been through storms with winds gusting near 100 km which is very impressive. My deck faces the south so the late afternoon sun gets very hot and the gazebo protects us from the worst of it and the shade on the western side does the rest. The gazebo is well built and the 8X8 size fits perfectly. I am most pleased with my purchase.

We live in southern Alberta and had a spell of moderate weather in early January, permitting us to assemble it in a few days, working about 2 hours/day. The instructions were pretty clear cut and there are only a couple of steps where two pairs if hands are required. We look forward to many hours of enjoyment once the warmer weather has returned.

Assembly: time consuming COULD HAVE USED A BALL END ALLEN WRENCH..COULD ONLY TURN QUARTER TURN AT TIME...AS FOR THE ROOF PIECES, A LITTLE MORE THINKING ON THE DESIGN...VERY DIFFICULT FOR 2 PEOPLE TO ASSEMBLE. NOT SURE WHY YOU HAVE THE HOLES IN THE TOP CORNER IF NOT ABLE TO USE THEM...MAYBE NEED TO DESIGN SOMETHING IN THE TOP CENTERPIECE TO PUT THE HOLE ONTO...THIS WOULD HELP THE ROOF FROM SLIDING OUT WHILE YOUR TRYING TO PUT ON THE OTHER PIECES AND HOLD IT...IN ADDITION A BETTER DESIGN FOR ATTACHING PIECES Q & R AND HOLD DOWN G1 & G2 WITH A SELF TAPPING SCREW INTO A SEMI FUNCTIONAL SCREW HOLE THAT DID BREAK OR STRIP OUT AT ANYTIME WAS VERY DISTURBING! NOT SURE HOW TO FIX THAT.....

The gazebo is well manufactured and fairly easy to build.The instructions for the roof portion could have been better explained,and possible a short video on the install of this size gazebo. Overall extremely happy.We also purchased the curtains and also the winter cover. Hopefully all well go well. Thanks for the product.

Happy with my Sojag 8x8 gazebo, however I had some difficulty with the assembly. I needed to purchase longer bolts to secure 4 of the roof braces. After installation we are experiencing major leaking from the roof where the panel  joints are. Suggestions?

Don't bother going to Sojag for help. We have been waiting 3 years for some parts that were missing from the box. Sent them pictures and part numbers. Never received the part or any reply despite numerous emails and phone calls. Home Depot did nothing about this either when we complained to them. Sorry that this happened to you. Worst customer service ever!

Where does the rain water go? is it channeled down somewhere or does it just overflow over the edges of the roof? Also, can this roof support the weight of heavy snow in winter (4 feet of snow not at all uncommon in my area) ?

Water just drips over edges all over. Snow - my guess is that it might. Make sure to secure all 4 corner caps and 4 middle caps (that hold metal sheeting from falling down) with proper screws, as the ones that come with the kit are not good. I used deck screws with my install.
