Can I use this for an extension outside outlet? This would be in a metal conduit, Install outside of my house, to able to plug in my vehicle in winter time and used for my lawnmower in summer time, what king wire and Electrical Outlet Receptacle can I use

Asked by: Santa
Call your service provider before you dig and check what is around your site. Check local building codes on type and depth for conduit use. This being said I used this wire in a pvc pipe buried 18” deep. Plug I used was a gfci plug for outdoor use. Ran off a new breaker as well. This was to run power to my shed for like you plugging in the car and lawn mower.

Est-ce que c’est assez fort pour alimenter une roulotte et un frigidaire extérieur

Asked by: Dyjea
Bonjour. Merci.

If the containment system requires underground power, yes. Southwire's CSA-NWMU cables may be used for underground installations, including direct burial. It may also be used for environments exposed to the weather in dry and wet locations. The maximum allowable conductor temperature is 60°C. The minimum recommended installation temperature is -40°C for two-conductor cables (sizes AWG 14 to AWG 6) and -25°C for all other sizes. For three-conductor cables the minimum recommended installation temperature is -10°C (with suitable handling procedures). Material should be properly stored above 0°C for 24 hours prior to installation. The maximum voltage rating for all intended applications is 300 volts. Consult the Canadian Electrical Code1 for further information related to applications.
