FAS/LVT 18 Gauge, 5 Conductor Red Cable sold by the linear metre. For interconnection of electrical devices within a security and fire protective signalling system. For use in dry or damp locations

  1. This product is also available to be purchased by the meter in-store, please contact your local Home Depot store for details.
  1. Manufactured with a solid bare copper conductor and color coded PVC insulation. The PVC jacket is flexible and flame retardant. Ripcord under the jacket for jobsite ease of use.
  1. Minimum recommended installation and operating temperature is minus 20°C.
  1. Maximum allowable conductor temperature is 60°C.
  1. Maximum voltage rating for the FAS cable is 300V. Maximum voltage rating for the LVT cable is 30V.
  1. Consult the most recent Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) or a licensed electrician for further information related to applications.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Misleading picture, colours don't match in-store I came in and had a length of 18/5 cut to rewire my furnace for AC and a Google Nest. I was about to put it in the wall when I noticed the colours are wrong. What they have in the picture is: Red - power Green - fan Brown - second stage for heat Blue - common or heat pump Black - common In store, the green is replaced by orange, which is a heat pump wire. See picture I took. I went to return it and explained what they have displayed is wrong. They were not going to take the return because it was wire cut off the spool and argued since the gauge is the same it shouldn't matter. They're not technically wrong, but if I'm opening up walls to put wire in then I want to make sure in doing it right, especially since I'm planning on installing AC next summer. They eventually allowed me to get a refund. They product in the picture is still not right and is misleading for what is sold in store.

why green & yellow color are missing when this is advertised as thermostat wire it's bit confusing i'm diy guy. What should i do?

Thermostat wire can be 3 or more conductors depending on your needs based on AC, Heating, and other HVAC options I prefer 6 or more conductor cables. Colors are standard and you will likely find yellow and green i 6 or 8 conductor cable
