I'm confused. Many of the reviews seem to be for data cable such as CAT5 or 6 with multiple wires with multiple colors ie orange, blue, green and brown. This is a COAX cable with a center conductor and a shield with insulation in between. Most commonly used for television or CCTV installations. There should be a way of editing out reviews or comments that are directed to the wrong product.

By the way, if the wire is run on top of the ground, it’s ok to use. If underground, you should use direct burial RG6

Will this wire work well outdoors to hook up a Shaw satellite dish?

Probably, as long as the wire isn’t underground.

Satellite dish hook up

Will this work to run new line from dish to modem
Asked by: Ucandoit
If you're using this for satellite internet, it's always best to use a solid copper core cable. I believe HughesNet and Viasat require this for their installations. This is copper clad steel cable, so I wouldn't recommend. With that said, it will still probably work but if your cable run is long you'll probably run into resistance issues and have excess packet loss. Source: I used to install satellite video and internet.
