I ran a second coaxial line under the fence and into my house through the window. Now I have cable TV for free. This product is excellent.

which Connectors are yall using

I purchased the Klein RG6
Asked by: JasonD
Connectors to use - Universal F Compression Connector for RG6/6Q Example - RG6/RG6 Quad Universal Coaxial Compression F-Connector (Pack of 50) (Ideal #92-650) OR Klein Model # VDV812-606 (10-pack, also available in 50 pack) You'll also need the proper compression tool and stripper: Klein Tools - Compact, Multi-Connector Compression Crimper and Cable Stripper and 2-Level Coaxial Cable Stripper Tool Set (Klein Model #M2O41037K) Hopefully, this helps.

Can this cable be used for digital TV antenna installation? We live in a narrow mountainous area and will probably need 1000 ft. of it, going up the hill by the cabin. We are trying to cut the DirecTv cord.
Asked by: dugspurgal
RG6 has too much loss at that distance. Your best chance would be to use solid copper center conductor RG11 coax and the Channel Master 7777V3 preamp with a Channel Master Advantage 45 antenna aimed toward the towers.

NO, plenum rated coax is very expensive because law requires a teflon or other high temperature jacket

Under Specifications, this cable is listed as for outdoors. But with the CM/CL2 (in-wall) classification, shouldn't this be listed as indoors as well? Please clarify. I noticed both the 100ft and 1000ft variants are listed as "indoors/outdoors".

Copper or Steel?

Is the center conductor 100% copper or copper clad steel?
Asked by: pmike
I think you mean solid copper or copper clad aluminum (CCA). I'm also looking for the answer, but if they are not advertising everywhere that it's solid copper, it's highly likely it's CCA. CCA is way cheaper.
