Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile! Very happy with this light! I am renovating my basement and installed this as a spotlight to highlight and feature my display case. It is recessed into the ceiling so it does not take up a huge amount of space in the room (like my last lights). After it was installed I was able to turn the fixture and angle the light towards my display case, I love the effect it gives! Installation was easier than I expected and the package includes a hole-cutting template so it was easy to measure. You can also change the light temperature from a warmer yellow to a cooler blue colour to suit the room and fit with the other lights. Overall very impressed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install The 4 inch WiZ gimbal was very easy to install. The electrical box seems very well built and uses friction connectors instead of marretes. The light connects to the electrical box using a barrel connector and is secured with a twist locking mechanism. It has 4 different temperature settings (K) from warm to cool. This makes it so versatile that you can use it in any setting. The switch to change the color setting is on the back of the light so you will have to pull the light from the ceiling every time you want to change it, which probably won't be often. I chose the 2700K setting as it's more warm and cozy. The light is IC rated, dimmable, uses only 12W and comes with a lifetime warranty.

It far exceeds products offered by competitors that we have used for renovations in our properties in the past. We are currently undergoing renovations in our own home. We are just getting to the drywall stage but these lights managed to fit perfectly in the existing install plates for the old style pot lights. We were able to swap them out in minutes. We loved these lights so much that we went out and purchased more for other rooms in the house. We can not wait until our renovation is completed and we are able to see the full capabilities that these lights offer. Great Value!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lights features not advertised correctly! I’ll start by saying the lights themselves are great I have several. However, the sole reason I bought this light was because I required the manual kelvin switch on the back to match my existing kimbal lights colour tone as my wifi doesn’t reach the light (“wiz” is annoyingly required to change light tones) It’s advertised in pictures and on the box that it has the manual switch on the light itself, but it came with no manual switch. Super frustrating as this has happened twice now, once in store and once online. Please add the switch or fix the advertising!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Spex Lighting By Liteline This fixture offers a 5 color temperature option, which is great to match existing light fixture you may have in your home. Installation is relatively easy, fixture and junction box will fit through existing hole in the ceiling if you’re using them for retrofit You may have to trim the drywall a little but you won’t have to cut a new hole. If using them for new construction make sure to purchase a 4” rough in plate. Junction box comes with quick connectors and makes it little easier to connect the wires. Gimbal is also great if you want to direct the light to a certain area like a painting on a wall

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SPEX 4" Selectable Recessed Light (Gimbal) I purchased this light a month ago, and I am very happy that I chose this product. The build quality is solid, the gimbal is smooth and easy to move to desired angle. The ability to select the colour of light from 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K allows for versatility. The push connectors make installing very easy as space is tight for wire nut connectors in the junction box. The light also comes with a template to cut the correct size hole to recess the light. The light also comes with a silicone gasket to prevent scuffing the ceiling, and prevents moisture from entering cavity above the ceiling. I will be purchasing more of SPEX 4" recessed Gimbal lights for future house upgrades.

I ahve always complained to my husband that in the laundry room there is not enough light when trying to clean out a stain and I wanted to add pot lights. He refused and then I found this light. I love how the light can be positioned to direct the light exactly where I want it. It does not seem out of place with our other led lights the way that a pot light would have. The installation was a breeze. I have already had compliments from several friends about this light and asking where I got it. I am quite sure there will be several more of them in our future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Lighting The Spex recessed LED light is a good quality unit. The light fixture is made with quality materials with very little plastic which is a sign of good quality. I used the light fixture in my basement because the ceiling height is only 7' 9". The low profile fixture fits flush to the ceiling requires very little depth for installation. Installing the light was straight forward and did not require specialized tools. One great feature of the light fixture is the ability to change the colour temperature. A switch on the light fixture has five temperature colour settings which allows you to match the colour of the light fixture to the existing lights in the room. The light out put was very good too.

The Spex Lighting 4pk Gimbal, article #1001609568 is fully dimmable; we suggest using our Spex Wiz Smart Dimmer, article #1001609587 or please find attached a list of other non-smart compatible Dimmer Switches.

What is the size of the hole needed?

How to remove the light to change the colour?

To access the CCT5 Switch on our Gimbal Fixtures, use both hands and slowly pull it downwards, apply pressure to the clips with your fingers so they down spring back once the fixtures is removed. 1. Pull the trim a bit and locate ONE supporting clip 2. Pull down the side with the clip until the edge of the clip is visible 3. Hold the clip in the up position until it clears the drywall 4.
