The 4-inch Spex Multi downlight is an 8 watt all in one solution that fits into an existing 4-inch Recessed Housing with E26 adaptor included or octagon box. Selectable Color Temperature (27K, 30K, 35K, 40K, 50K). Quickly interchange between Black, Brushed Nickle and White magnetic trims included. Suitable for wet locations and Fire-rated when used with a fire-rated octagon box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lighting to beautify your space The Spex 4 inch recessed light allows you to beautify your space to match your décor or highlight any space. It comes with 5 different light shade setting and is easily to install with all the hardware required to swap out an existing recessed light or to upgrade a current one. The front bezel/faceplate is magnetic making swapping them a breeze and I comes with all 3 colors to choose from white, black and silver. The only draw back is the color selectable switch is at the back of the unit for beautification purpose so you will have to drop the light to change to color. I personally don’t mind because it is quite easy to do. Over this is a great product and a complement to my décor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Many options I was retrofitting a PAR50 pot light, so I used the medium base adapter and the butterfly clips to install the light. The installation was easy and secure, and the quick connector made the wiring easy. The LED light provides a 'cleaner' look than the separate trim and bulb on my original light fixture. Three trim covers are provided in white, black and silver. This seems wasteful. The fixture allows different light colours from 2700K to 5000K. I strongly believe that 5000K is the only correct setting, but others may prefer the freedom of selecting one of the incorrect options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and Easy to Install Very easy to install - took me about 1 minute to switch the old light fixture out to the new LED recessed fixture in my laundry room. I was impressed it came with 3 high quality trims in an assortment of colours - black, white and grey. The light comes in 5 different brightness settings - I opted for the 3500K as I prefer a whiter light over the typical 2700K yellow light. You can also fit the recessed light in any octagon box or canned pot lights. I am satisfied with this product and would recommend if you are looking for an LED recessed light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing light I installed this light a few weeks ago and it is fantastic!! I will be getting more. I love how it fits into existing boxes for a clean look after install. I used this light in my garage to replace the builders light. It fit right in the octagon box and was simple to install. The multiple face plates let’s you choose your style and the multiple light colour settings allows you to get the perfect light. I did not use the adapter to fit into existing pot lights but by looking at it I would imaging that would be easy to use as well. Great light!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the adjustable warmth setting Looks like a typical LED recessed light. 3 choices of trim kits. and I think 6 settings varying from soft warm to and almost bluish bright white. Makes a great option for any room in the house. This light will clip into a housing for a 4 inch classic style recessed light with a screw in bulb, or it can attach hardwired to an octagon box, but would need to be a deep one I think as the back of the light is quite bulky. Comes with the screw in adapter with a quick connect clip and with screws for attaching to the octagon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for spotlight retrofit. This 4" LED recessed light is prefect for retrofitting old style pot lights to the new style flush mounts. With the optional screw-in connection and clips, this installs as easily as changing a bulb. If you need to install in a location requiring fire rating, you can install simply with the octagon electrical box as the transformer is built in. No need for large recessed housings that can be difficult to insulate. The selectable colour temp is a nice feature to match existing fixtures in your home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new go-to lighting! Timing couldn't have been better for this product, as I was in the process of renovating a bathroom. I decided to install the light in our shower. Installation couldn’t have been simpler, way easier than the older style halogen lights I have installed previously—no metal frames or difficult connectors. If you don’t have a hole saw large enough (4 ¼”) & are using a drywall knife, the cardboard around the light is a template, so take care when unpackaging not to damage it. The box size seems large…until you open it, the transformer inside occupies better than a third of the volume of the box, so there is not a lot of room inside. Fortunately, there are quick-connects inside the box, so wire-nuts are not required. Ensure you do not strip your wires too long. I really like the easy access to the light temperature switch behind the magnetic bezel—so easy to match up to existing lighting colour. With regards to the magnetic bezel, on the box it does mention black & stainless bezels are sold separately. These will be my new go-to lights now as we continue our renovations into the kitchen. I would definitely recommend these lights! Great job SPEX!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality product I was happy with the quality of this product. I thought the ability to change the color of the light is nice. You can choose three options of color for the light. Basically warm, daylight or white. This way you can try the different color of white and choose which best works for your location. Being able to choose your trim color is nice as well and with the magnetic attachment feature, swapping it is a breeze. I would recommend this light.
