The SPEX Lighting GIMBAL Reducer Ring allows installation of the 4" SPEX GIMBAL Fixtures into Cut Hole sizes of 5" and 6". Constructed from stamped steel for rigidity and finished with UV stabilized paint to match compatible fixtures.

Hello Bensam, My name is Matt from Liteline. Thank you for your question regarding our lighting products, SPEX Lighting is committed to offering high quality products and services. The 6" Reduction Ring or "Goof" Ring can be used in one of two types of applications. 1. Replacing current 6" Pot Lights. Use the ring to reduce the size of the current opening in the ceiling to allow you to install one of our current 4" SPEX Lighting lights. 2. Adding new lights to room. If you accidently made the opening in the ceiling a little to large, you can use this right as a "Goof Ring" to allow you to still install on of our 4" SPEX Lighting fixtures.
