I have tiled floors in my living area (studio apartment), and I have tried every trick in the book to try and get the machine to stay in place: tiny carpet with floor grip, rubber mat with floor grip, and nothing will keep it straight, unless I am leaning right over the machine, and then I can't get anything else done, while I'm cycling. I imagine it would work much better on a fully carpeted area.

I had a problem with it staying still from moving over when I used it on the carpet . I addded 4 strips of the hook side of the sticky velcro and it worked . Hope this tip helps for others who are having a problem .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exercise for those with limited mobility. My Mom, 84 years old, likes this bike. It is helpful for those with limited mobility, and requires little space. As many others mentioned, it does not stay in one position. I fixed that problem by looping a rope around one of its legs and the legs of the chair. I do not find the tension adjustment very effective.
