Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Saw I've had this saw for years. Love it. So much so, I bought two more. One for the truck and one just in case they stop making it. It is rigid yet light. The shape allows you to get into tight spots to cut things. It is one of my tools that I really enjoy using.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from decent but needs more weight over the nose I am a metal worker. The design is robust but needs more weight over the nose to be accurate. The design is great for hard to reach places, which the industry needs, but lack of weight means more work. Please Stanley, add a bobweight to the nose.

Pros: - Low profile shape is quite rigid, makes it easier to get in tight spaces. - Handle is well designed, feel solid and secure, and gives great control while sawing. - The tensioning mechanism is very good - easy to use, has a positive lock and the crank design gives a large adjustment range which allows for fine tuning on the tension. Con: - In spite of all the great pros, this one con makes the saw essentially useless. The pins that hold the blade do not have a positive way of trapping the blade. As shown in the picture, as the blade is tensioned, the blade starts twisting along its length because of the pin not being able to control the blade. This means that I can only use the first 1/3rd of the blade near the handle for any cuts that require any sort of accuracy. Maybe I got a bad unit, but I can't return it now, after taking it on a job and having no choice but to use it extensively. I am really disappointed that this saw that seems to have so much potential did not work out for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Saw, Bad Blade Saw is lightweight, sturdy, and gets into all the places I need. Unfortunately, the blade that came with it would not cut straight, no matter how I adjusted it. Changed to a new, better blade, and I've been making true cuts ever since.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a good saw The frame on this saw will flex significantly to the left when high tension is applied to the blade. Then you battle the saw frame and blade alignment to make a straight cut. You might say that too much tension is applied but that is incorrect. Hacksaw blades need high tension to cut a straight line that's why the better saws will apply up to 50k psi. Save your money and buy a better saw. This is OK for course hacking but even a bit high priced for that. It is not for professionals.
