Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had a Stanley miter box for over 25 years.... I had a Stanley miter box for over 25 years. One of the workers walked off with it recently. Of course I replaced it with another Stanley box and saw. Good product. The clamps come in handy to stabilize small pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I already had one of these at my summer home... I already had one of these at my summer home and needy one in FL. Although other similar looking units look the same, they are not! The saw is solid, the box is solid, and there tabs on the bottom if the box for easy clamping. Also there is a pin ststem to hold the board steady while cutting! No this is the best in class!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage. Absolutely a waste of money. It is not stiff enough to reproduce the same angle cut to cut… which is the whole point of a mitre box. Not better than I could do free-handed.

How do the clamps work, and do they work well?
Asked by: anonymous
The clamps are ovoid in shape and work by cam action. They work well enough but I don't normally use them. Just one more small part to get lost.

If the bed is only 4-1/2 inches wide, why does the specifications list it as 7 inches. This is very misleading.
Asked by: Tom
This is nothing more than confusion over which dimension is W and which is L. The bed is 4-1/2 in. wide by 7 in. long.
