Rated 1 out of 5 by from I Expected Quality From Stanley ... I purchased two of these hose, primarily based on the Stanley brand which I thought meant quality. The hose is so soft and flexible that it kinks and/or pinches closed to prevent water flow. Additionally, if you attach it to a hose real, the hard plastic swivel grips pinch the hose closed, so you have to unravel the whole length of hose to un-kink the hose, even if you only need part of the hose for the job on hand. On a positive side, those swivel grips do make a good solid connection to you taps. But on the whole, I would not recommend this hose and I'm more than a little disappointed in Stanley brands.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Weak connection between hose and fitting I bought two 50 foot hoses a little over a year ago. No problem last year but so far this summer 3 connections between the metal coupler and the hose have failed. At first I thought it was because I was dragging the extra hose and pulling the hose off the coupler. But, then I had it while the hose was resting with pressure on it. So, if you buy this hose: 1. Don't leave it resting with water pressure on the hose. Always turn off the tap when the hose is not in use. 2. Buy some hose clamps when you buy the hose. I guarantee you will need them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buy hose end repair kits at the same time. I bought 2 Fat Max hoses on July 12/2020, 10 days ago one of them blew an end fitting off, I wrote the company, and am getting the runaround. My complaint is being forwarded blah, blah, blah. I went out and purchased a replacement fitting, I was using the hose again, and then the other end blew. So just buy the replacement kits at the same time and save yourself a trip to the store. Now having read reviews on multiple sites this is a frequent happening. It gets two stars as it doesn't kink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding value Without question the best garden hose I have bought in 20 years. Very easy to use, never kinks and easy to interchange watering nozzles. Going on my third year with this hose and will not hesitate to purchase another Stanley FatMax garden hose when and if my current hose fails.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Male end of hose blew off - impossible to fix Male end of hose blew off - impossible to fix. This is a flawed design, all the tension is on a coupled set of rings that are not fastened by anything other than the pressure the hose that is squeezed between them exerts. Terrible design, save your money. Zero stars - buyers beware

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ends Blew off Bought this 2 weeks ago. End that attached to the tap literally blew off. Thankfully I was home.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage hose - connector falls off Bought this about 2 years ago, after 1 year the included spray attachment stopped working (opened it up, the spring was corroded and compressed). This week, the connector on one end just popped off when the water was turned on. I wish I'd read the reviews before buying this piece of junk. It's difficult to reach Stanley Tools warranty service, I tried 2 weeks ago on social media (Facebook) and today on the phone - it seems that whatever subsidiary supports the garden tools side of Stanley has been spun off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Manufacturing FatMax Hose This hose last me a whole 1 month and about 10 uses before it broke. The nozzle fitting on the hose popped right off while I was using it to water the grass. This comes with a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer however the process and hoops they made me jump through to get a replacement was very tiresome. I'm still waiting for the manufacturer to confirm that they will send me a replacement. I suspect that I will not get one till probably December or January.

Has anyone else experienced this: when filling a watering jug with a nozzle attachment on the hose, the water is a foamy white and bubbly. The smell is also quite strong with a rubbery odour, even in the water.
