Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great This heater warmed up our TV room significantly faster than the baseboard heaters that were there. It is now the warmest room in the house. To install it in the wall required knowledge of wiring and drywall repair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good choice I bought this fan to replace a very noisy fan - the fan axle was bent or something. This fan was a perfect fit, had the old one out and the new one in, in 10 minutes. It’s definitely quieter but not as quiet as I’d hoped. Still goo though!

How much energy does it take to run this kind of heater compared to a standard baseboard heater? Specifically cost-related.

Asked by: mandinka55
These units, like baseboard are very efficent. As previosly stated, the difference for our clients has been that the fan serves to better distribute the heat, reducing how often it runs and thus, operation cost. A baseboard will take some time to heat room with just convection heating. A fan forced unit can heat the same soom more quickly with the fan pushing the heat into the room more rapidly.

Hi, which gauge wire should I use to install 1500 watt stelpro wall fan heater? Thanks

Asked by: Ahsong
The gauge of wire to be used is determined by the electrical code in your area. A certified electrician would be able to answer this question. A 1500W unit at 240V draws 6.25 amps.

REPLACING MY BATHROOM BASEBOARDS HEATER...CAN I JUST KEEP USING MY WALL MOUNTED EXISTING THERMOSTAT?

Asked by: ecl1
Yes, it is possible to keep your wall mounted thermostat. If it is an old style mechanical dial thermostat it should be no problem. If it is a electronic thermostat, you must make sure it is compatible with a fan heater. Fan heaters require long heating cycles, therefore your thermostat must have a fan mode. If you still have your users guide for your thermostat or can find it online, you can see how to change your thermostat to fan mode. In the event that it is not compatible, you can consider a Stelpro ST402NPFF thermostat.

REPLACING BATHROOM BASEBOARD...WILL IT WORK WITH THE EXISTING THERMOSTAT?

Asked by: ecl1
You are changing a baseboard to a fan forced unit, so there is a validation to be done on your thermostat. You must make sure your thermostat has a fan/ventilation mode because a fan heater requires long heating cycles. If you still have the users guide of your thermostat or can find it online, you can see how to change your thermostat to fan mode. If this mode is not available with your thermostat, you will have to replace it with a compatible model. The ST402NPFF from Stelpro is an example of a compatible model. Stelpro tech support

What kind of thermostat does this heater come with?

Asked by: Maddie218
Hello Maddie, The heater does not come with a thermostat. The built-in thermostat is a accessory that can be purchased seperately. You also have the option of purchasing a walll thermostat to control the unit.
