Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good looking heater, 2 kW of heat and quite fan. I just installed one in my wife’s basement yoga “studio” so she wouldn’t be chilled again this winter. Installation straightforward, good instructions and end result is a nice looking product. Initially fan was loud but noticed the fan blade was hitting the fan motor. Maybe this was the reason some have complained about noisy fans. Quick fix with an Allan key and the fan is near soundless. Good heat source and the fan distributes the heat well. I would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great wall heater A great little heater that's easy to install and gives out a lot of heat. You need special wire and buy a separate thermostat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and warm A bit noisy but works really well at warming up a cold, unheated back door landing. There was always condensation or ice on the windows at the landing and now with the heat (even really low) and the air movement, that area is warm and moisture free. Cosy and warm back there now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible piece of garbage Just installed this and I can't believe they make and sell this garbage. The fan is so loud, sounds like it has no bearings at all, rattles like its 50 years old. I paid $200 for this crap. Its coming out and going back, if Home Depot can't weed out crappy products and just put any old crap on their shelves I will not be shopping there any more.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dead on Arrival Upon installation I discovered the fan is dead - element heats up and trips on over temperature. Very frustrating, I had to install the old heater and return this one.

I am replacing an existing fan/wall heater that is wired in with 12/2 wiring to 2- 20 amp breakers in the fuse panel. Is this acceptable wiring for this unit

Asked by: Bob 73
If you using 208/240 Vac then please put (2 pole 15 amps) breaker and use 14/2 wire. The formula is Amps= watts/Volt......so 2000/208= 9.62 amps. So 14/2 wire is ok. If you installing a 2000 watts heater with 120 volts then you need 12/2 wire with 20 amps single breaker.

Is there any way to reduce the fan speed? It gets very noisy!

Asked by: bob27
it is not possible to change the fan speed of this unit. The CFM of the motor is fixed. It is not recommended to modify the speed as this may cause the unit to overheat.

Good Day, Can you please advise if this unit is equipped with a thermostat or provide the info for a built in application. Thanks.

Asked by: John
This particular heater does not come with a thermostat due to being able to either install one in the knock out on the cover or a remote wall mount thermostat . This gives the customer options depending on the room the heater is being installed

can this heater be used with an electronic thermostat

Asked by: dean
Yes, this heater can be used with an electronic thermostat. It is important that the thermostat is compatible with a fan forced unit. The thermostat should have a ventilation mode in its functions or be specifically made for fan forced units like the Stelpro ST402FF.

Will this heater effectively heat a bathroom that is 14'X9' with 10' ceilings?  This bathroom is also equipped with radiant floor heating so this wall heater would be used as supplemental heat when necessary.   Thank you.

Asked by: Kbarrs
We use the following formula to estimate heating requirements for well-insulated spaces where the maintained temperature will be about 21°C : 1.25W/ft3. So, 14’ x 9’ x 10’ = 1260ft3 x 1.25W/ft3 = 1575W. Based on this calculation, the Pulsair 2000W will be more than adequate as supplemental heat in this space.
