Stiebel Eltrons CKT heaters add an integrated timer to our CK heaters to temporarily output maximum heat to a space. Perfect where extra heat is often needed, the heater quickly warms an area. Once the timer turns off, the unit reverts to the thermostat setting to maintain a comfortable temperature. CKT heaters easily replace existing flush-mount heaters and are perfect for new construction. The European downdraft design heats a space evenly with the extremely quiet built-in fan. Temperature is easily set with a thermostat on the right side of the CKT or a CKT can be operated with a conventional wall-mounted thermostat in rooms larger than 215 sq. ft..

I thought it was a poor packaging decision to omit a power cord, leaving the buyer to translate European color codes for USA application. I'm also expecting several people have used a power cord much lighter that the recommended 14 gauge, which could lead to a cord overheating and a possible fire. We like the product fine, connecting a cord was not difficult, but it did not come ready to use (safely) compared to most electrical appliances available for purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heats the garage nicely Purchased to help heat the poorly insulated garage (mostly due to the door) in the winter, when I need to do work there. Raised the temperature from 8c to 16c in the12'x'20'=240sqft space. Does not come with a plug, but easy enough to add. I hard wired to an existing circuit. Very satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Heater 4 stars. Would have been 5 but the power cord location is at the top of the unit. Not a fan of that, should be at the bottom where you can hide the cord or wore depending on how you install it. Very easy to install overall, heats up the room quick and maintains it with no issues. One suggestion for the company making these (besides the cord location) would be to make them so you can adjust where the warm air is being directed, up, down, side to side. Would be a nice feature. Overall, very happy with the heater! This is a good buy people regardless of my suggestions.

What is the model # of this unit with 220 Voltage, since the "details" are incorrect but the description is. I do have one already, 220 volt and a timer, on the the model I have it indicates CK 15E, which wouldn't include the timer, but mine does.

This is a CKT 20. the T in CKT stands for Timer (2 bottons on the side, a Timer and a Thermostat). This unit requires 220 volt 15 amp as per the Stiebel web site.

Regarding the electrical, It's 120v but on here your saying it needs a 15 Amp breaker on 12 awg wire, last time i checked you cant use 12 awg wire on a 15 amp breaker. 12 awg wire is rated for 20 amps, a electrical inspector would say change it!

The Stiebel Eltron website recommends a 15 amp breaker with 14 awg copper wire. As 12 awg wire is a heavier gauge than 14, most inspectors would pass it.

Is this 120v or 220v? the write up says 120 and under the specifications it says 220.
