Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far this product has performed well. I installed... So far this product has performed well. I installed it in a small home with a washer, kitchen sink, bathroom tub and shower and one lavatory. Running just hot water in the tub will max the unit out on hot water production and some warmth is noticed and the automatic flow reducer is noticeable. Using the shower the unit performs very well. I have the unit set at 117*F to provide hot water to the kitchen sink for washing dishes. I can't continually hold my hands in that temperature water. It is hot. I installed recommend installing a filter on the cold water inlet to prevent mineral build up in the water heater. This is not a easy DIY project. On a one to ten hammer difficultly scale with ten ben the hardest, this is a 15. If you don't have carpenter, electrical and plumbing skills you will need these three crafts to install this product. There are hidden cost of installing an electrical sub box with breakers. You will need to purchase the inlet and out valves required to flush the unit annually. You can just go buy valves but when it is time to do the maintenance you will wish you had spent the few extra dollars for the vales made for these units. If you decide you don't like the unit, going back to the tank style is almost painless as you have the electrical and plumbing completed. i have only had the product for a couple of months, but so far it has impressed me so far. I installed a smaller Tempra 15 .in the master bath. It is adequate for just the bath. The Tempra 15 as imprssive as the Tempra 24. Hope this helps someone.

What is the EF rating of this water heater? Is there documentation for Tax purposes?
Asked by: AB58
There is no official EF rating but the unit is above 99% efficient since you are heating water on demand and not trying to store hot water with standby losses. As far as Tax purposes, there are no rebates for purchasing these units as far as we know.

Tempra24 Are this supposed to be 2 double pole 50 amp breakers? The one we have keeps tripping the 30 amps

Asked by: Darren
If you have 30 amp breakers, these are too small and will trip due to overload. You need to have 2 - double pole 50 breakers.
