Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very durable stone-like covering for concrete I bought this about fifteen years ago. We had a torn felt-like covering glued on top of a concrete pad at our front door. It took a lot of effort to remove the glue and clean the surface, but priming and covering with Stoneffects to make the surface a bit rough so people wouldn't slip was easy. After all this time there is no visible deterioration of the surface. The silvery-gray color looks great. I am not a professional tradesman nor do I get any benefit for writing this review. I just think a great product that is so durable deserves positive feedback.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible We applied to our covered deck following instructions. The following spring, we noticed cracks, but we liked the look, so we re-installed our entire deck, only to find, it cracked again and peeled the following spring. This was expensive and a total waste of our time and money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stone Effects I have used this product on 6 jobs over 9 years, if applied correctly ,it is excellent. Not recommended for DYI. Must be applied by Professional.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stoneffects I bought this to replace a broken, chipped ugly 30 year old countertop. It was pricey and the only reviews were for outside. I bought the small pail and all the others and did the black and white. We watched the video and phoned the hotline. Took out the sink and prep the old surface. it is like working with prepared concrete. It does not do vertical suraces easily so we installed a backsplash of stainless steel

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good result I agree with the other reviews, though wouldn't rate it so low. The result is very attractive but you will need at least 3x more than what they say on the tub. I did a ~3.5 meter-square front step/porch and went through nearly 3 tubs of Step 2 (stone layer). One tub did it for the primer (Step 1) and the sealer (Step 3). Maybe I put Step 2 on too thickly? I did use a trowel instead of the roller, so it could be that. I'd suggest trying the roller (if that works) and doing a few thin coats instead of trying to cover everything in a thick coat, which could save on quantity. I haven't had this done for very long so I cannot comment on durability. Also to note, the first tub that I applied I had had in my garage over the winter and was quite thick when applying and difficult to spread evenly with the trowel. The next 2 tubs were MUCH more liquidy and a LOT easier to apply. So if you get a tub that has been sitting a long time and seems unreasonably thick, you should go for a new bucket.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stone effects This is a terrible product, looks nice in the end but you need tones and tones of litres to cover a small space. The area we covered was about 12 by 2 and we used 7 containers, plus they say you can buy the roller and it goes on well,,,well no it does not work at all. It also says scratch resistant, well our patio has scratches on it and we used a plastic shovel in the winter. This product looks nice but costs a fortune and doesn't seem to last!

Once I clean off my concrete steps and get rid of the remaining paint that is on there now do I need to etch the concrete? What product would I need to buy? And is it recommended to seal it? The older version of the product had three steps. Is this only 1

Asked by: Cath5
Hi Cath5, If you are looking for the comparable product to the old 3 step, we recommend our Stoneffects Quartz instead. Once the steps have been cleaned and all the paint has been removed, then you may use or Rustoleum Concrete Etch to prep etch the floor. We do not recommend etching if paint is still left. In that case, you would wire brush to remove any loose paint as well as the exposed concrete. Then use 220 grit on the remaining paint. To protect the coating, you may seal with our Stoneffects protective Sealer.

Est-ce recommandé pour une application sur des panneaux de fibrociment Finex?

Salut Ben20, Tant que le ciment peut être mordancé, il convient à votre application Stoneffects. Vous devez créer un profil de surface auquel le revêtement peut adhérer.

Hello Will this product work on a vertical surface like a stucco chimney? Thanks

Asked by: herbie
Stoneffects Rollable can be applied to unsealed masonry, but the product is quite heavy and may sag or drip when applied vertically. Thin coats would be required for best results.
