Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would purchase again Works well. Looks great. Easy to assemble. Warms up the room very nicely. Light weight. Can put things on top like plants. The fan makes a bit of noise but I don't mind it at all. Great item for price. When you first use it, there's a bit of a small but that's like with any new heater. So, best to use it a few times in another room first. No complaints. Would purchase again and highly recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy I purchased this a little over a mnth ago, it worked at 1st, nice and quiet, then it started started shutting off and turning back on , due to this the area I purchased it to heaten , wasn't getting warm . It still looks nice with the fake fire but does not do the job it was meant to do.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for every situation... Looks great but thermostat is a bit weird. Cycles on and off way to soon. So.. if you are only going to turn the heater on when you are in a cooler room in your house you use infrequently, turn it on about an hour before you want to use it. Once it runs for a while it will keep the room warm. If you have it in a room and have it on all the time it's fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Give it a zero stars if I could - Garbage Had 2 within a v week. First one out of box wiouldn't stay running more than 18 seconds. Second worked for a week and when it got warmer and we turned it down it shut off totally. When we turned it back up it began not running more than 10 seconds, off for 2 mins back on constantly. Didn't heat the room as did prior. Must be poor thermostats in them and think warm when not.

The heater turns on for 17 seconds then turns off for 50 seconds, turns on for 18 seconds, turns off for 1:03 mins, on for 17 secs, etc. It worked continuously for the first week, but it was significantly colder. Is there a fix for this?

I have had many complaints about the thermostat on this unit. The heater will run for 15-20 seconds and turn off regardless of the setting on the dial or the room temperature. Is there a way to get a new thermostat rather than replacing the entire unit?

Should this unit shut on and off so quickly, it heats up then shuts off for 30 seconds then comes on for 1 min then shuts off again for 30 sec and so on... shouldn’t it stay on or off longer?

Asked by: Barb
Same thing happening for us, and never had this happen with infrared heaters we've owned in the past. Only stays on if we crank it to top heat. Ours is very loud - so assuming the fan is not working correctly.

Can a person put things on the top of this or does it get to hot?

Asked by: Cheryl
The top doesn’t get hot at all, the heater is the small element on the underside of the unit.

I just bought this fireplace and I like the look but it's not warming the small area up like we thought it would and it's very loud. Is it supposed to be this loud and would you recommend something different ?

Asked by: Andrew
Hi Andrew It shouldn't be loud (I just got mine, and it seems very quiet). If noise is an issue you might want to see if the unit has some sort of malfunction. Also note that this is an infrared fireplace, not simply electric, so the heat doesn't focus on the entire room. You should, however, be able to feel the heat as soon as you turn it on, rather than waiting for the room to heat up. Infrared works differently than plain electric, by heating the source that is in the space (anyone in that area) rather than the whole room. In this regard, it is more efficient than an electric fireplace. You will, however, notice that as soon as it is turned off, the heat goes down. So it depends upon what you're looking for. Infrared is more efficient, will heat your body much faster than 'plain' electric, but won't heat the entire room. (Infrared is also a much gentler heat for use than plain electric, as it doesn't dry out the skin like regular electric space heaters.)
