Rated 1 out of 5 by from 1 out of 5 Stars and more So, this product is very frustrating. First, take the drill bit and toss it in the garbage, rent a hammer drill and purchase a proper SDS 3/16 drill bite...3 or 4 of them. If you use one bit to many times in a roll (back to back holes) the tip will burn off and be left with a flat head. Use a vacuum to suck the dust and dirt out of the whole. (you'll thank me for that tip). These are frustrating because 1 out of 4 bits will not strip nor break while anchoring your wood to the floor. If the hole isn't deep enough or has dirt collected at the bottom, your screw will simply just spin and de-thread itself. I've gone through 5 bits while securing archon my wood to the floor over a 500 sqft area. 3 - 4 per sheet of OSB. I had to purchase another box to finish off the project. Not Impress.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never using tapcon products again Tapcon screws snapped with no effort. Tried the 1/4 size and they snapped just as easily. It's so easy to break that they feel like aluminum! Never buying tapcon products again. Caused tons of redrilling and so much extra time and work. Used the matching size tapcon drill bit. Managed 1 hole out of 18 needed. Had to return and buy milwaukee and diablo drill bits to get the work done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If used properly, they work well. These work well - DO NOT GET with Philips heads, get the ones with Torx heads - this may require you to buy them in person so you are not shipped a batch with the Philips heads. Be sure to follow the instructions. If you are going to be doing for than a handful, get a proper hammer drill - the "hammer drill" setting on your cordless drill will slowly work and will be fine if you are only doing 4 or 5. But, if you are using a few hundred to secure a sub-floor to cement, get something like a Bosch Bulldog and don't get cheap SDS bits they won't last - and even with good SDS drill bits, keep a container of water on hand to cool the drill bit in between holes to prevent the bits from melting. In summary - if you are going to be using a bunch in a relatively short period of time, have a proper hammer drill and get the ones with the Torx heads (if you want the "flat" heads). I learned this the hard way and wasted time and money - hopefully, you don't have to.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 1/4 inch product is far better Used these for attaching sheathing to concrete. They work decently but they don't make drill bits that last to make holes for them. Make sure to counter sink your hole first (The Phillips head drive worked well for that). They like to spin out just before driving down flush to the surface.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Threads hold very well Hold insanely well but we stripped heads off a number of these. Found it better to drill them only part ways in, back them out, drill slightly further, then back out and repeat until they were firmly seated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wall anchors Worked as they should. Very convenient having the bit supplied.

How much weight will these carry? I have a holder for my tires that I want to install outside and it has 6 holes to screw into the brick. Will these 6 Tapcon anchors hold the weight of 4 tires?
