Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great traps, not only for mice, but also snakes! Had a mice problem for a couple months, there was hole that had been filled but stuff got old and mice ate through it. These traps caught 4 mice in total. But I still left traps here and there for bugs that like to come in. We live in the country and so we get spiders, beetles, and scorpions in the house. And having a toddler in the house is the incentive to keep these around. Well last week one of the traps caught a snake! A baby chicken snake. We were impressed and happy that these glue pads work enough for bigger pests.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good stick rate, bad retain rate Bought 3 packs yesterday and placed where mice were spotted. on the first night, put out 8 trays, 4 of them had a mouse stuck in them(50% rate). only one mouse was retained (only because I got to it in time, a few minutes later and this one would also have escaped), the others broke free after some struggle. retain rate of (0 - 12.5 %). the glue is not strong enough. I have used the rat glue trays from the same brand and they work much better (100% retain rate so far) . Then again, they are meant for rats, so you would expect it to work on mice at least. Tomcat needs to improve the glue adhesion/stickiness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prefered mouse control. Caught the first mouse within 8 hours of setting. I swear by these, no more stolen bait. I bait with 1/2 ml peanut butter and left at the bottom of a cupboard near mouse sign. It is a little disturbing to see the mouse's futile struggle to get free from this trap, but not as disturbing as seeing a chewed hole in each bag of flour, sugar, and oats.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective Trap. It seems to work. The trap is sticky and effective at trapping a mouse even though it grosses me out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work for me I bought the sticky pads and spin trap for mice issue at my home. Nothing happened but you can still see the mice droppings around. Disappointed with product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product it didn’t solve the purpose rather was destructive as after few days accidentally child stepped on it and whole house had the glue

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Product What kind of sadist uses this product to torture animals? They try to chew off their limbs in order to escape. They spend days in a panic and crying in agony while starving to death. Use humane live traps to release them outside. Spend your time advocating for stores to stop carrying this disgusting product. More countries are banning glue traps, and Canada needs to be one of them as soon as possible.

Disposal... If the trap is used and it catches a mouse and it's still alive, how do you get rid of the mouse that's stuck?

Asked by: Bvc3
You can pick it up with gloves or a piece or cardboard, and put it in the garbage, then throw out the garbage bag in the can outside.  It’s a one-time use trap.  Anything that touches it won’t come off, including a glove, so only pick it up touching the plastic corners, avoiding the glue inside.  It’s very effective.

Are they scented already or do I have to add Peanut Butter?

Asked by: Revvy
they're not "scented". add peanut butter if they don't work. mine worked without peanut butter though

I don’t imagine these would be a good idea if you had a curious pet in the house.  Of course we’d put it where it’s hard for the cat to access, but what does one do if a pet does get stuck on it?

Asked by: Paula Pearl
Always place the Tomcat Mouse Glue Trap where pets can not come into contact with it. But if that does happen, here is what you can do. To remove glue residue from pets, people and most surfaces: Dab a bit of vegetable oil or smooth peanut butter to the glue and let it sit for several minutes. If using peanut butter to remove from a dogs fur check that it is not sweetened with xylitol which is harmful to dogs. Next, with a dry cloth, rub the area to remove the glue. Repeat as needed; then wash with water and a mild detergent or soap.
