Rated 4 out of 5 by from Toro 12” 60 volt electric snow shovel. This particular electric snow shovel gets down to the pavement. Because there is no direction change available it only discharges straight out in front. This isn’t a problem if you are on a large lot and the snow is staying on your own property. I use ours to clear the back deck and our front walkway. It does a great job. The 2 speeds do keep the distance down a bit which helps. The battery is more than adequate for my use . It definitely throws the snow with no problem. I found this electric shovel to be very good. I wouldn’t recommend it for small confined areas because you can’t direct the discharge to the side. The price isn’t cheap but I bought it anyway.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little snow shovel you will wish was wider Great cordless snow shovel. Always check to see where the wind is blowing when using this otherwise the snow can blow back in your face. This has saved me so much time and effort. This will be heavy for some at about 20 lbs. I've done 2 ft snow drifts and just went over the area twice to clear the snow. The blade is plastic so you need to use some logic and break up the hard snow at the end of the driveway which is left by the city snowplows and then let the snow shovel do it's job. I would have given this 5 stars but I wish this shovel was wider; an 18" titanium blade would be perfect. I definitely recommend this product and if Toro comes out with a wider unit I'll sell mine to my cousin and pick up the wider one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy snow removal This power shovel is a great tool for snow removal. It lived up to all expectations and is fun to use. I had read about it being a bit heavy, and it can be, but still easy to handle. I also had read that the battery did not last long...and this I do find to be true. Still it was enough to do both the deck and the walkway. And if I have a problem with this tool, it might be that I could use a longer handle or where the battery housing is situated, maybe it could have a handle where you could grab it from, as I find myself pushing the shovel by the said battery housing, which it is not made for. Other than that, I am very satisfied with it and I might buy another 60V tool this summer so that I can own at least two batteries.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty impressive piece of gear! I got this snow thrower because I have tendinitis in my wrist and thumb and could no longer lift heavy shovels. Overall, I’m pretty impressed with this thing. I have a fairly large 5 car driveway and with 6 inches or so of snow, I can finish it on a single charge using the low power setting. I have used it 3 times in 11-12 inches of powdery snow and it performed really well; better than expected actually. Based on other reviews, I thought it may lack power but it certainly has enough for my needs and does throw the snow an impressive distance. And like everyone else mentioned, a second battery pack is almost essential if your driveway is on the large side. What it lacks to make it absolutely perfect though, is a directional snow output on top like real snowblowers. I believe some sort of modified chute could be incorporated in the design to better guide the snow. Presently, the output area is large and can only blow directly in front of you which creates a big fluffy cloud in which you can disappear when it’s windy. Without the ability to control exactly where the snow will fall, it’s impossible to clear the driveway down to the asphalt because that snow cloud falls back down on areas previously cleared. However having said all that, it’s useful enough to me in every other way that I don’t mind doing the final clean-up with a regular shovel and it has allowed me to do the job without aggravating my tendinitis. In conclusion, yes I would recommend it but assess your needs well first.

can I use a 60v 2.0ah battery pack on my 12" toro snow shovel if in the specs it mention the 2.5ah battery pack?

Asked by: jojo
Yes, it will work with the snow shovel. Runtime may be affected. All Toro 60v batteries will work across all Toro 60v tools. However, it is not suggested to use the 2.0ah or 2.5ah battery as your single source of power in either the snow blower or the lawn mower due to the power requirement in those types of applications. The 2.0ah or the 2.5ah battery would be best used to supplement a 4.0ah, 6.0ah or 7.5ah battery for additional run time. Thank you.
