Rated 2 out of 5 by from A little disappointed I did exhaustive research on snow blowers and was sceptical about cordless electric however after reviewing the Toro website and a few YouTube videos I was sold on this model especially because it has a metal impeller instead of a rubber paddle After reading all instructions and completing the battery charge and assembly I was anxious to try out my new toy. There was a few inches of light dry snow and my Toro could not even throw the snow 6 feet to one side. I never even tried the Ego mode because I wanted to see how far it could throw light snow. I have written to Toro and asked if I have a lemon because the videos I saw were throwing the snow 30 feet. Do these guys do these videos in the mountains of Colorado where the air is thin?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance First snowfall of the year here in Montreal yesterday. Had to clear 20cm of wet snow and the snowblower performed very well. Stopped once to dislodge wet snow from the chute but other than that it did the job flawlessly. I have a 5 car driveway and the battery showed 2/4 light bars remaining after I was done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CANADIAN REVIEW - Beast mode!!! Finally got a chance to use this blower this week with our first snowfall in Toronto (approx 1 - 2ft). I've used a Toro gas blower for the last few years and tired of smelling like gas every time I finished. I wasn't sure if this machine would also be able to eat through the snow build-up at the end of the driveway left by the plow overnight. Snow fell and I gotta say, THIS MACHINE IS A BEAST!! It easily chewed through the light snow of approx 2ft. then chomped its way through the 3ft of ice and street snow left at the driveway in the early morning. I also got 2 full plows of a double car driveway including both of my neighbors sidewalks. The light on the handle is exceptionally bright perfect for plowing during the dark. The machine is fairly quiet too def not as loud as my gas ... and I don't smell like gas afterwards (YAY). I was 99% ready to purchase the E-G) model but like others have stated the height of the handle for a 6' 1 frame is way too low. Few things I wish this model had are taller controls for to change direction of chute (EGO has this) and easier hardware to collapse the handle for storage (EGO wins here). Overall, awesome beast of a machine and can't wait to chew through heavier, taller snow mounds with this thing. If you're on the fence about battery power vs. gas, you won't be disappointed with this machine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 1st use, 1" fluffy snow 1st time used, 1" light fluffy snow. Cleaned the surface well except where car had driven (this is to be expected). The machine started and ran well but it pushed the snow and didn't throw it very far when it did go through the machine (see photo's). I will review again with different types of snow.

We live in upstate PA and the winters can get brutal. We have a lot of driveway to clear and over the years have gone from a big heavy snow blower to a plow. While the plow makes keeping the bulk of the driveway clear, its not much good for smaller areas and sidewalks around the house. And that is why we decided to pick up the Toro Power Clear. The first impression when unpacking the snow blower was how light it is. I could actually lift it straight out of the box. There is not much to assemble - you simply unfold the handle and attach a couple of knobs to keep everything in place - and you need to clip on a snow deflector. The 60 volt 7.5 amp hour battery pack looks something akin to an energy pack that might power a spacecraft and it drops into a dedicated compartment in the snowblower. The charger has the option of being wall mounted which I found convenient and it seems to charge the battery very quickly - a couple of hours. The sides of the snowblower are steel to aid in "cutting" a path through the snow. The rotor is also steel. The bottom edge that contacts the driveway is plastic and is a replaceable wear item - smart thinking. While I haven't had the opportunity to use this in deep snow yet, I am confident that it will perform to my expectations based on my experience with other Toro products I have used. My parents had the electric snow shovel and it was quite impressive to use as welll, This snow blower is part of the Toro Flex-Force Power System line of products. I am really impressed with the convenience and light weight of this snow blower, I can see myself replacing othe yard equipment with Toro Flex-Force Systems products. I own two other cordless electric snow blowers and two gas powered snow blowers. The Toro Power Clear is by far the one I will go to when I need to clear a client's driveway. We just had our first snowfall in Illinois today but expect more tomorrow. I could not use the Toro today because the snow was too heavy for any snow blower let alone electric. The Toro has bright lights, a solid feel, safety handle similar to a lawn mower, and an easy start. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I recently purchased the Toro Cordless Snowblower Model 39901. 1) During regular snow season use, at what point should the battery pack be returned to the charger? 2) Should each snow removal session begin with the battery reading 4 green leds?

    Asked by: SteveF32
You can return the battery back to the charger after every use, or after the battery has depleted far enough to where you need to recharge for the next job. It is not required that the battery be at full charge to start clearing snow.

This is best used on asphalt and concrete. How about interlock stone? Is it safe to use on stone? Thanks.

    Asked by: Annie57
This machine is best used on a smooth flat surface since the scrapper comes in direct contact with the ground to pick up the snow leaving you with a clear driveway. Thank you.

Will the snowblower work on the slush and ice at the base of the driveway?

    Asked by: LLLLL
Yes, this snow blower will handle the end of driveway snow pile that is left by the plow, be that heavy, wet or icy snow. With Toro’s patent-pending all steel Power Edge™ auger, it allows the machine to efficiently pull the snow into the middle and out the chute in a tight plum throwing it up to 40’. Additionally, the drift cutter like sides on the snow blower housing reduce the push force required to slice through tough snow. Thank you.

When will this be available in Canada without the battery? I already have the 60v lawnmower and do not want or need another battery when I buy the snowblower.

    Asked by: CCDD
You can now purchasing this online. Thank you.
