Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor performace in wet snow Used the equipment for the first time on Dec 4th to remove approx. 12cm of wet snow. Snow was thrown from 2 to about 12 feet, and the average was 5 to 7 feet. The chute clogged 4 or 5 times in 30 minutes of use. The battery was drained towards the end of the job clearing a 4 car driveway in 30 minutes.

The unit makes reference to having three ports in the battery storage area. The unit comes with one battery. Does this mean that we need to purchase additional batteries (2 ) before we become operational. Is the handle retractable for storage purposes.

Asked by: Richard 53
Hi, Richard! Thanks for your question. This snow blower #39914, comes with one 60V 10Ah battery and charger. You can operate the blower using the one 60V 10Ah battery that comes with the unit, but you also can use multiple lower amp batteries from the Toro flex force system, which is why the unit has three battery ports. All of the installed batteries must add up to 6.0 or greater, otherwise, the machine cannot start. For storage, you can reverse the steps of Unfolding the Handle on page 10 of the manual at: https://www.toro.com/getpub/228632. Thanks!

If the unit gets into a situation where you have to reverse your path does the self propelled system have a reverse gear or neutral?

Asked by: Richard 53
There is no ‘reverse gear’ but you can simply release the personal pace bar which stops the forward momentum at which point you can simply pull the snowblower backwards, similar to pulling a self propelled lawnmower backwards.

Pretty sure wrong picture and wrong battery Ah in Specifications-Details section (12 Ah instead of 10 Ah): https://www.homedepot.ca/product/toro-24-in-61-cm-snowmaster-60v-personal-pace-snow-blower-with-10ah-battery-and-charger/1001802887

No reverse gear? Is this a joke? And why have ONE huge battery that won't fit other tools, yet provide space for three? Seems like poor design choices that hopefully will be corrected at some point.

Asked by: Tudval
Hi, there! Thanks for your question. To reverse the snow blower, release the upper handle to stop forward momentum, then pull the machine backward. This unit is a part of our Flex-Force Power System that offers the ability to use one single 60V battery across more than 75+ Toro tools. Toro Flex-Force units come equipped with different powered batteries, depending on the application. For this unit, the combined amp hours of all the installed batteries must add up to 6.0 or greater, otherwise the machine can not start. That said, this unit comes with one 60V 10ah battery (that you can use across your other 60V Toro tools), and if you would like additional runtime, you have the option to install up to two more batteries. Thanks!
