Rated 5 out of 5 by from Throws snow far and battery lasts long I bought this snow blower last year. I went with battery over gas because I didn't want to store gas in the garage and this is light enough where I can put it up on the garage shelves in the summer. We had 3 days of heavy snowfall last week and this performed very well. The snow was very wet and slushy and this was still able to throw it about 15 feet. It throws regular snow about 35-30 feet. I was able to do my 4 car driveway and my neighbor's 4 car driveway and still had 50% battery life remaining. I charged the battery and took the snow blower over to my sister's house to do her driveway. I am very impressed with Toro's battery powered snow blower and would recommend it to anyone with an up to 8 car driveway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game Changer Say goodbye to wasting money on gas! I bought this blower November 28th and have been surprised by its performance. It scrapes right down to the ground even with wet snowfalls. We just had a historic snow event in Central Ontario and it handled knee high snow with ease. My laneway was done in 10 minutes vs 1.5 hours of painstaking shovelling. The lithium ion battery life seems adequate for a small to mid-size driveway for 4-5 uses depending on how much snow falls. The eco feature is also really neat to preserve battery on minimal accumulation events. Hats off to Toro for delivering a quality product that is worth the price tag.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Auger bends, Toro doesn’t cover it I bought this in fall 2021. It worked pretty well, did a good job of clearing dry snow falls of up to about 15cm. Towards the end of the winter it started making a loud jack hammer noise. Brought it to a repair shop and the auger was bent. Toro would not cover the repair as they said I must have hit something with it. I paid $60 to have the auger bent back into shape which made the noise about 60% quieter (I guess you can only do so much without replacing the auger). After one snow fall in November 2022 the noise is back. An internet search will show many with the same issue. I would not recommend this snow blower. Seemed great out of the box but it’s too light weight and Toro did not stand behind their product. Really disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A little disappointed I did exhaustive research on snow blowers and was sceptical about cordless electric however after reviewing the Toro website and a few YouTube videos I was sold on this model especially because it has a metal impeller instead of a rubber paddle After reading all instructions and completing the battery charge and assembly I was anxious to try out my new toy. There was a few inches of light dry snow and my Toro could not even throw the snow 6 feet to one side. I never even tried the Ego mode because I wanted to see how far it could throw light snow. I have written to Toro and asked if I have a lemon because the videos I saw were throwing the snow 30 feet. Do these guys do these videos in the mountains of Colorado where the air is thin?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance First snowfall of the year here in Montreal yesterday. Had to clear 20cm of wet snow and the snowblower performed very well. Stopped once to dislodge wet snow from the chute but other than that it did the job flawlessly. I have a 5 car driveway and the battery showed 2/4 light bars remaining after I was done.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Could have been great I bought this two nights ago and got home and when assembling it realized that the rod that rotates the chute was not included in the box. I had to drive a half an hour back to the store and they checked for a replacement and a few other boxes were also missing the rod. They finally found one and gave it to me. Then drove back home and now the charger won’t charge — the battery it says that the temperature is too low or too high and yet we have it in a house that is 20°C. Not sure what to do but to problems with something with such great reviews is bizarre. It must be a lemon. For future buyers, check the box at the store and make sure the parts are in there … even if it’s factory sealed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Quiet, Light and Powerful 1st use of my battery powered Toro and it worked like a charm. Would have given a 5 Star rating, but I found a need to modify the Chute Control Rod. Out of the box, I found it too short and a pain to reach. I took the rod to a local Welding Shop and had it extended by a foot, much easier to reach now. Compared to a gas model, this blower is lighter and quieter, but still very powerful. My driveway is approximately 21' wide by 40' and I had only used half a battery charge. Highly recommend👍

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The little snowblower vs 60cm of snow Yesterday (Jan 17, 2022) the GTA got dumped on with 60cm of snow. It was my first use of this little snowblower and it did the job despite the snow being 3 times taller than its mouth. It was not strong enough to plough through in one motion because the snow was so deep and dense. I had to plough little by little. Like plough for a foot or two, then move backwards, let the tall snow fall to the ground, and then forward plough again, rinse and repeat. All my neighbours were watching me make progress while they were struggling. I felt guilty. I wasn’t in any rush, and took several breaks, but after about an hour the battery finally ran out — one charge cleared 95% of my driveway after the most snow dumped in years. I also have the 60v Toro trimmer and blower so I just popped in the 2.5Ah battery and finished the job. I love this 60v battery system. Later in the evening the tractor came to clear the road and blocked my driveway with a mountain wall of snow (windrow), by this time the 7.5Ah battery was fully charged again, and again this little snowblower helped to clear the windrow using only half the battery charge. The lights on the snowblower came in handy in the dark and were very bright.

I have very little storage space and 55" in length is to much. Can the handle be taken off for summer storage?

Asked by: Dianabw
It is delivered partially disassembled in a box that Is 27” long x 22” wide x 25” high. To get to this size you would need to remove the handle, the discharge deflector and the discharge chute control rod. It would be difficult to remove the discharge chute control rod because it “snaps” into place but the area where it attaches is not easily accessible. There are a total of 6 bolts required to remove the handle and fold it over but the handle is still attached to the control cable which would be difficult to detach. If you just remove the 6 bolts and lay the handle on top of the blower, it looks like you could reduce the footprint to about 31” long x 22” wide by about 28” high. The 31” dimension is the distance between the front edge of the snow blower and the back end of the chute control rod handle.

I have this snowblower, but didn't need to use it last year. I've used it this year and it doesn't seem to be self propelled. Am I not doing something right. Is this a self propelled snow blower and if so how do I make it work properly?

Asked by: Happy
it is not a self propelled blower. You have to push it into the snow as you go. I have used this for 3 seasons now and it works very well. Not ideal for areas that get a great deal of snow but for milder climates where im from that get 1-12 inches its perfect. One year we got about 16 inches over night and it still worked but had to make a few passes and it took a little longer..

Is the fold-down handle intended only for off season storage, or is it easy to fold down after every use? I am asking because I have a very narrow garage, so I would prefer to fold down the handle every time.

Asked by: Curtis
Unfortunately, the handle wasn't (well??) designed for a quick fold down after time after use. The top handle is secured by nuts and bolts. There is a big plastic turning knob, so you don't need any tools. But it is not a quick-release design and would be a hassle making those turns on the knob every day (depend on how much snow your area gets).

Can it handle what the snow blows leave at the end of the driveway ?

Asked by: Bird
If you get to it quick enough and it's fresh enough, if it's REALLY chucky it's a bit of a slog.

How many years does the battery last before it needs to be replaced? Not referring to the runtime.

Asked by: Sumi
My battery is starting season 3 and still going strong. I do take care of it. It is taken out of charger when it reaches a full charge and is stored in my garage where the temperature does not go below 5 degrees C and it is dry.

Will leaving the snowblower outdooors with the battery installed, in minus 30 celcius temperatures affect the performance of the unit or damage the battery?

Asked by: Blackie69
Hello, thanks for reaching out about our battery snow blower. It is suggested to store the machine, battery pack and charger in an enclosed, clean, dry area. The machine is best to be stored between the temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius and 49 degrees Celsius, such as a garage or shed area. To protect the longevity of the battery pack, it should be stored and charged in an area between 5 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius.
