Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job. My first snowblower. Better than a shovel any day. For the price, (349 pre-tax) it works just fine. The light weight makes it easy to move around. Non-metalic paddles are easy on the driveway and sidewalk. It gets all the way down to the surface on unpacked snow. Works as expected. The only drawback is the short handle. My back can't take shoveling any more and I seem to have to lean down with this snowblower. Also, not good for my back. I wonder if they make a longer handle for it?

Assembly was easy; drawings were easy to follow once I caught on. Started right up and ran well (a little loud but no worse than my lawn mower). We haven't had any significant snow yet so I have no experience using the machine yet, but that will change soon I'm sure. That's the only reason I didn't give an excellent rating. Yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This li'l guy's a tank! Let it snow, let it snow! I first got the battery operated Ryobi to save a few dollars and took it back to H/D as quick as I got it. Instead, I caved in and bought this before the last dump a week ago in Calgary and was so easy to assemble, started on the 2nd pull and destroys the snow like butter! I have a double garage with a large driveway and cleaned 3" of snow off the driveway and city walks in under 10 minutes. If you can get a new lawnmower going, this is just as easy. Here's to hoping for lots of snow! :)

Does this model has Electric-start button?

    Asked by: Joe74
Then why does it state electric start in the description ...it is very misleading and I was quite disappointed to discover the model doesn’t have it even though its states in the above.

Please confirm that this item is self propelled and not push drive.

    Asked by: Iangd
The clearing auger is like a curved paddle, when you start the machine, the paddle begins to rotate. If you tip the handle up slightly, you will notice that the machine will actually pull forward as the paddle contacts the driveway/sidewalk etc. There are no gears or reverse, when you get to the spot you need to turn around, push the handle down so the paddle is not on the ground, and pivot the machine using the rear wheels (which are fixed dolly style)  and go in the direction you want.

Do you have to mix oil with the gas or are they separate?

    Asked by: marisc
This is a 4 cycle engine meaning 4 stroke as well there isn't a need to mix oil with fuel. 2 stroke or 2 cycle engines require mixing if thats what your asking. Cheers
