Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive performance for the price! I live in Montana in a mountainous region that gets a lot of snow. This winter was particularly snowy and cold so the snowthrower got thoroughly tested. It started each time with a maximum of two pulls, and that includes several instances where it was below zero Fahrenheit. It did a really good job clearing the snow, all the way to the pavement like a single-stage should. For the price, the quality of the machine can't be beat. I'm completely happy with the purchase.

We purchased a Toro 721R21 this Winter and the product is good. True to reviews, it moves snow well but the design needs some tweaks... The good... -very powerful...moves 12" of wet heavy snow...I'd say that's about the limit at one time. -quick pull start, choke not needed. -small, light and powerful. The not so good... -because it's so light, and the tires are plastic, any type of heavy snow with the chute moved to either side cause the blower to be forced over in the opposite direction. You have to angle the blower against "flow" to keep it moving straight. - the plastic grill around the motor's exhaust melted this past week. Perhaps some metal shielding would be better than the plastic grill. -the manual blower direction handle works fine, but the friction nuts to adjust the top exit angle of the blower tube need to tightened a lot to keep the angle in the down position as the snow hits it. I had the exit angle piece pretty tight- and it straightened out initially when the snow hit it. After I tool tightened the exit shoot, it stayed put, but I can't adjust it by hand while working out in the driveway without using a wrench. Sometimes you want to keep the snow down and away and other times you need it to throw up and as far out as possible. Can't do that on the fly with this unit. Otherwise, it's the best power for the least cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product really delivers as advertised! I bought this Toro for my husband who had to revert to shovelling snow again after our ancient blower finally gave up. I was concerned for his health since he is a senior but I also was not sure which product could do the job without being too heavy or awkward to operate. After much research, I decided on this model with absolutely no regrets. My husband is impressed with the power and overall ease of use as it churns up the snow on our driveway and walkway in record time. Now instead of dreaming about Springtime, my husband checks the weather reports every evening in the hopes of hearing about a winter snowfall alert!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Starts first pull! I only used it two times. Not much snow this year. Which is fine, I hate snow. I will put stable in the gas tank & wait tell next year!

After a disaster of an experience with an Ariens that I owned for 10 minutes before returning I picked up the 721. Out of the box and moving (actually more like launching) snow in 15 minutes. I replaced an older model 621 2 cycle model that got into a fight with a dog chain but still have me 1 last season. This one looks the same, just as light and easy to use but WAY MORE Muscle. I was launching snow across the street and 20 feet into my neighbor’s drive on the first pass. Can’t beli how much and how far this thing tosses that white devil dandruff. I was thinking about a 2-stage and glad I didn’t. Don’t hesitate. Great value and performance for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As promised and delivers Have used this machine the last 3 weeks in snows ranging from 2" to 18" depth. Some powder some wet. It has not missed a beat in clearing down to the concrete. It clears better than my neighbors 2 stage blower and is faster and easier to use. The 18" deep snow was about its limit but ate through it without hesitation. It easily cleared the snow the plows piled at the end of the driveway. Pleased with the machine and quality, I expect it will function well for years.

Are the paddles on this machine made of rubber, as is the case for many other Toro snow-blowers?

Asked by: jayy
As far as I can tell they are a hard composite of materials including rubber. I have not had a problem...the blower has stood up to a lot of work and have noted very little wear on the blades.

Would this work on a gravel driveway?

Asked by: EZ2LOOKATASIAN
Powered by a Toro Premium 212cc OHV 4-cycle, it's ideal for concrete and asphalt surfaces. However, our PowerMax models have skids that raise the auger and scraper a fraction of an inch off the surface, this makes them the best choice for gravel or mix surfaces. Hope this help! Thank you.
