Rated 1 out of 5 by from Outstanding Performance for Cost Have had three Toro single stage blowers in a row, live in a part of the world that gets a lot of snow that stays December to March (Ottawa, Ontario). So much snow this year the single stage could no longer blow snow over the edge of the driveway and in February bought this Toro Power Max 724, one of the least expensive machines available then but it is a Toro. Has one of the smallest displacement engines (212 cc) but it did not fail going through 16 inches of fresh snow! Started on first pull every time, the single control for chute direction and altitude is genius, light enough for me to push it one eighty after each pass and the unit cleaned down to the asphalt leaving little behind. Finally being a small blower, it takes up little space in my garage. Note that the overall rating is meaningless, had to enter a rating to get Toro to accept my review! Having the blower for only two months I cannot rate it for quality and dependability ergo no star rating. Ask me in three years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisifed. Good value I bought this to replace a 1988 Toro Powershift. I bought it mainly to use on a large deck and to clear away berms that form when snow slides off our metal roof. It's also a backup for a larger snow blower that I use for driveways and yard. I found that for moderate snow falls, I prefer using it to the other machine which is heavier so I use ramps to get it off the deck. The single handle chute control gets some getting used to but I like it. It starts quickly and easily. It has several forward speeds though at times it would be good if the lowest speed could be a bit slower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made product This product works really well. Starts up with ease ( pull string or electric). I really like the shoot control and the one hand control option. So far I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product has some good features. I just bought this snow thrower and used it for the first time today , so am getting used to it. The controls are the opposite from my last snow thrower ,so will take a little time. I do , however , like the chute control , the starting and handling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plenty of Power to handle the Tough Stuff I live in the snow capital of America and my new Toro 724 OE has impressed. Took delivery and immediately had to put it to work after a 20" + dumping. And while it handled the driveway with no problem, what amazed me is the way it went right through what the plow left behind without hesitating. Build quality is excellent and the deep lugged tires never spun. The joystick chute control took a little getting used to but that's my only beef. Here's hoping this Toro lasts the 30 years my previous Toro did!

COMPLETE JUNK - SINGLE JET AWFUL CARB - I'VE NEVER USED ANYTHING BUT NON OXYGENATED GAS IN IT - AS I DO WITH MY MOWERS AND - WEED WHIP - BOAT AND SHOW THROWERS.. MINE HAS REACHED IT'S 4TH WINTER AND I'M ON MY 3RD CARB CLEANING/REBUILD WITHOUT HELP FROM TORO BECUASE THEY DO NOT BUILD THE MOTORS ...NEVER ONCE LEFT A DROP OF FUEL IN THE THING ...I START EVERY WINTE'SR WITH NEW FUEL ... THE CARB IS CLOGGED AND THE PILE WON'T START OR IF IT DOES WILL IDLE GOOFY AND WON'T RUN FULL OUT- YOU LITTERALLY NEED TO KEEP THE CHOKE ON HALF WAY FOR IT TO KEEP RUNNING! NO FUEL FILTER IS MOST LIKELY THE CAUSE - BUT TORO IS NOW TOO CHEAP TO BUILD ANYTHING THAT LASTS... I REGRET NOT KEEPING MY OLD MENARDS BRAND "YARD MACHINE" FROM THE LATE 90'S THAT COST ME HALF THE PRICE ...IT WAS 10 TIMES THE BLOWER THIS PEICE OF CRAP IS .. THE TORO NAME NO LONGER MEANS "QUALITY" AT ALL ... I SPENT MORE THAN I PAID FOR THE LX425 TORO LAWN MOWER I HAD JUST REPAIRING IT EVERY OTHER YEAR...STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING THAT TORO HAS MADE IN THE PAST 15 YEARS - IT'S ALL KNOCK OF CRAP WITH AN UPCHARGE FOR THE NAME...
