Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible Battery Life - Stick to Gas I bought this two weeks ago and have used it twice since. Advertising says you can use it for a 24 car driveway with 10" of snow on one charge. This is completely false. I have an 8 car driveway. First time I tried it (in 20" of snow) batteries died after 10 min with only 1/2 of my driveway completed. Second time I tried it in 5" of snow, batteries died after about 15 minutes before I could finish the whole driveway. Other features do work well. Comparable to a gas blower and does a good job. Just doesn't last long enough. Stick to a gas blower unless you have a very small driveway and don't get much snow.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works great but store the batteries inside. We just brought this home and was loving it for the first half hour it was operating. Throws the snow a great distance and operates very easily. The problem was that the batteries do run out faster than expected. I am honestly curious about whether it is because Home Depot stored the boxed unit outside and I’m concerned that it has shortened the life of the batteries. The batteries should be stored inside at this time of year and them having been frozen probably took away from their life. We got about 30-40 min out of them before they were dead. I would love to buy the Third battery but since there are none available, that makes it difficult.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solidly built Handles the snow, but the 6 AH batteries that come with only last about 20 minutes in heavy snow, and take 2 1/2 hours to recharge. You should get that expensive 3rd battery, but I can’t find anyone that has them in stock.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Amazing machine. horrible battery I bought this machine a week ago. I used it once, after that both batteries had a flashing red light, which means that the batter is now completely dead. I went to home depot but they told me that you have to bring back to our store (which is very difficult to me since I don't have a truck) or to call Toro and ask them to send you a battery. I tried to find a number to call or someone to speak to but with no luck. I am very unhappy with that. It is worth mentioning that the machine itself is very good, but the battery thing kills any good experience that I have

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Snowblower made for Canadian Winters I bought this snowblower in the fall of 2022 from my local Home Depot store. Shipping from the store was quick and very affordable (only $60). The machine has been such a wonderful tool through the last few snow storms in southern Ontario. I was worried about battery life after reading many reviews however I haven’t had any battery issues at all. I have a 4-6 car driveway and the machine has powered through some thick heavy snow now several times and each time the batteries still have about 50% power remaining. The machine itself is really well built and has proven toro features that have been perfected on the gas powered units for years. I’m very happy with my purchase and I think that it’s a pretty good value.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible battery life Terrible battery life. With the big storms we get in Quebec , the battery will not last 10 minutes fighting the heavy wet snow. Might be good in a mild climate places with few inches of snow.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not enough power Neighbor just bought one, battery died before he got 1/2 the driveway done, had to go over and finish his driveway with my gas snowblower.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NO POWER AND NO THROW = No value at any price! I recently bought this because I was told it was a great unit; NOT! I just came inside after only being able to clear 2/3 of my 2-car driveway. It bogged down several times in just 8-inches of new snow. Without warning it shut off and I had to pull it back inside of my garage. Both batteries are toast. This unit is not worth the effort or embarrassment. A neighbor finished my driveway, after finishing his, with the RYOBI electric and then motored back home.

Does this snowblower have reverse?

Can you use (3) three 7.5 Ah batteries instead of the 6.0 Ah batteries for the Power Max E 60V 24-inch Two-Stage Cordless Electric Snow Blower (Model # 39924)? or just the two 6.0 Ah that came with it and a third 7.5 Ah?

Asked by: Eric
Yes, all Toro 60v batteries will work across all Toro 60v tools. However, it is not suggested to use the 2.0ah or 2.5ah battery as your single source of power in either the snow blower or the lawn mower due to the power requirement in those types of applications. The 2.0ah or the 2.5ah battery would be best used to supplement a 4.0ah, 6.0ah or 7.5ah battery for additional run time. Thank you.

Asked by: eric
Hi, Eric! Thanks so much for your question, and we’re sorry your battery isn’t working as expected. There could be a few things wrong — The battery pack may not be fully seated, so ensure that the battery pack is inserted all the way into the housing. If the battery pack has exceeded high amperage limits, release the trigger, then press the trigger switch. If there is moisture on the leads of the battery pack, allow the battery pack to dry or wipe it dry. If the problem persists, please feel free to contact Toro Customer Support at 1-888-384-9939. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm CST. Thanks!
