Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not impressed with the joy stick control for the snow shoot. Still trying to get comfortable with control. I like the machine with the steering control. Easy to maneuver around nice feature .Seems to be well built.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this blower really moves the snow-great machine the blower has all the features that I wanted and once I got use to handling it, the operations went smooth. I would like the levers for engaging the snow thrower and engaging the drive system to be a little closer to the grip. have to really stretch the hands to encompass it all. anyone with small hands it will be a little harder to handle. have to admit I am having a lot of fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product has great features My 20 year old Toro was tired and I replaced it with the power max hd 1028. We haven't had any significant snow yet so I haven't used it. The features are far superior to my old Toro and looking forward to a light and heated handle bars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DIDN'T WORK RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. Put it all... DIDN'T WORK RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. Put it all together and tested it out and things seem to work although the auger felt like it wasn't turning. When the first snowfall came 2 weeks after I bought it turns out the auger wasn't turning when I would depress the handle fully. It would only stay engaged when the lever was partially depressed. I opened the pulley cover and discovered that the engagement pulley for the auger was so misaligned that either a MAJOR factory defect with that part or EXTREMELY POOR quality control from the factory. It was obvious to the naked eye on first glance, and when I started it and depressed the lever with the pulley visible you could see that the misaligned pulley would engage the belt briefly as it made first contact then immediately slip off as it tried to fully engage. I am so disappointed. I am reaching out to Toro to see if they will send someone to my home to fix. If they tell me to take it to a dealer it will probably stay there. I should not have to load an $1800.00 300 pound BRAND NEW machine to a dealer for a factory failure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I expect in a premium product I would first start off by saying, I own two Toro lawnmowers, one which is 28 years old and still runs great. My other mower is a 3 year old personal pace unit which has been flawless since day one. When my old snowblower (25 years old) decided to pack it in. ( not a Toro). My choice was to purchase another Toro power product. Based on my previous years of experience and recognized reliability of the Toro brand, it was a no brainer to purchase this snowblower. The dealer was fantastic to deal with and delivered to my house on a long weekend. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet (lack of snow) but am very confident this machine will perform flawlessly. It wasn’t inexpensive, but I like to purchase quality. If my previous experiences with Toro products are any indication, you have a customer for life. Thanks Toro!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made this purchase with all the good reviews on line Can’t review this snow blower because I haven’t used it yet, just got it a few weeks ago and no snow to move at this time. I do like the features on this machine with hand warmers and power steering along with a bigger motor. Time will tell after the first season and then I will do another review.

what is the difference between the toro 1028 modals 38841 and 38802 snow blowers

    Asked by: Marcel
The difference between the two models are that the 38841 has an all steel construction. Everything from the housing, frame, ACS, and chute are 100% steel construction. Giving the snowblower more durability. It also includes reinforced handles with hand warmers as well as an LED headlight as a standard feature.

I just picked up my Toro 1028. I am now looking online to see what oil it takes. The machine is at my dads so I do not have the manual. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me what kind of oil it takes. Thank you
