The Toro TimeCutter MX5050 is a hydrostatic zero-turn tractor powered by a 24.5 HP at 3,600 RPMs Toro Commercial V-Twin engine (708cc). It has a 50 in. heavy duty fabricated 3-bladed mowing system under a 4 in. deep, top discharge deck with convenient washout ports. The mower boasts 7 cutting positions between 1-1/2 in. and 4-1/2 in. height. With its Smart Speed control system, you'll have precise control and easy maneuvering with its Trim, Tow, and Mow speed ranges. It is equipped with an electric PTO and automatic parking brake for ease of operation. A hitch comes standard for pulling Brinly-Hardy attachments.

  1. Each Toro engine is designed and tuned special for the machine it powers, the 24.5 HP 708cc Toro Commercial V-Twin engine features a two barrel carburetor for increased power, its self-cleaning airfilter chamber increases the life of the airfilter and engine.
  1. Get Toro's professional quality of cut with its 50 in. commercial style fabricated deck that is made of thick 10 gauge (the lower the number the thicker the steel) steel plates welded together. Heavy-duty 10 gauge steel frame for lasting durability.
  1. 18 in. thickly-padded premium seat for maximum comfort
  1. Automatic parking brake for easy operation - just move the levers out to turn on the brake
  1. The Smart Speed ™ control system gives you three speed ranges: up to 7 MPH in Mow mode, 5 MPH in Tow mode and 3 MPH in trim mode for precise control and performance for all your yard tasks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waited too long Just purchased my first zero turn. I found a very clean 50" TimeCutter MX5050 at a local dealer. OMG!!! I should have pulled the trigger and bought one of these years ago. My lawn now gets cut evenly and much quicker than before. Ride is much smoother than my former riding mower. No more sore/stiff back after mowing. Love it, Love it, Love it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good, but..... Well built and strong running. Very comfortable mower. I. Have had this mower for 2 seasons. It has always produced a very even cut. However the mowing performance has a bit to be desired. The right wheel always spins on the grass. I actually have to start both wheels backward before accelerating the right side or the wheel spins and creates spots in the yard. This doesnit occur when turning left. With the supplied discharge chute the grass lays in strips and the chute must be removed with tools before bagger chute can be used. I must tie the plastic shield up to keep grass presentable mowing every 4-5 days. The bagger does not pick up grass very well if I go longer than 10 days and It leaves strips behind mower. If I don't use bag it leaves strips on side. Finally I have 2-15yo maple trees in back yard. In fall I have to go over the yard 3 times and constantly back up to prevent the leaves from jambing. The deck simply doesn't go far enough up. Deck has been adj. 3x.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you purchase this mower you will have problems. The first thing that will happen is the Mower... If you purchase this mower you will have problems. The first thing that will happen is the Mower deck will "pop off" of the bar it hangs on. Mine has done this several times. The dealer was pretty good about putting it back on the rail but it is so inconvenient. I finally learned to do it myself. It has some type of electronic issue. Mine went back to the shop twice with this issue. It would run for about 20 minutes and then stop. I finally had to take a video to the dealer so they could properly diagnose the problem. The next thing that will happen is the drive belt will come off. This is a big problem. It will not move and makes it very difficult to get on a trailer to return to the shop. The dealer said he has seen this numerous times with this model. Again, he feels that this is a design flaw. I just picked it up from the shop and was excited to finally get to mow after waiting 5 weeks. I tried to engage the blades but the technician had missed a pulley on the mower deck. The belt got caught under said pulley and cut the belt. It's a good thing I keep one of those in stock. It also has some "Glich" with the starter / battery. You turn the key and it will click but will not turn over. I mentioned this to the dealer and he responded he felt this was again a design flaw. He was convinced that the battery from the factory was not powerful enough so he sold me a heavy duty battery for $90.00 but it did not fix the problem. I am going into my third season with this mower; I have 139 hrs. I mow about 3 acres in a neighborhood. I do have some trees. My neighbor bought this same mower and has had the same issues. There is no way I will ever buy another Toro product. Magnolia tx
