And it does a great job on our driveway and sidewalk. I am retired. It feels like it only weighs about 20 pounds. Now that I got the snow blower I can't wait for more snow, I only was able to use it twice this year since I bought it. I would recommend this to anyone who is retired or disabled that can't push heavy objects. It pretty much drives itself. Thank you again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worthy of Consideration I was pleased with the power & efficiency of this unit, along with the "near zero maintenance" aspect of ownership. Adequate battery capacity (6.5 amp-hour version) to tackle 8+ inches of wet snow on my 1,000+ sq ft driveway. Throwing distance adequate across my 16' driveway width, even in blowing wind. The lighting is effective. The long (several hours) charging time (which should benefit battery life) requires some advance planning before use. You can set & alter your own pace easily, unlike powered-traction units. It even handled the driveway-end snowplow "glacier", albeit with some moderation. The steel auger & housing reinforcement proved beneficial for this purpose. The chute deflector is tricky to install (fear of breaking small plastic tabs). To me, the chute handle was too low & forward for convenient use. I experienced a problem, after some use, whereby the chute would no longer stay in (rotational) position -- I resorted to using a bungee cord, to try to keep snow discharge from blowing in random directions during use. Eventually, this quirk proved so frustrating that I returned the unit. Toro, not too bad for the "first model year", but with some improvements, it could be even better.

The battery lasted a good 45 minutes per charge and this blizzard really tested it. It threw the snow as far as it could. The snow was wet and heavy. In my opinion this is the best BATTERY snow blower you can buy.

Is the fold-down handle intended only for off season storage, or is it easy to fold down after every use? I am asking because I have a very narrow garage, so I would prefer to fold down the handle every time.

    Asked by: Curtis
Unfortunately, the handle wasn't (well??) designed for a quick fold down after time after use. The top handle is secured by nuts and bolts. There is a big plastic turning knob, so you don't need any tools. But it is not a quick-release design and would be a hassle making those turns on the knob every day (depend on how much snow your area gets).

Will leaving the snowblower outdooors with the battery installed, in minus 30 celcius temperatures affect the performance of the unit or damage the battery?

    Asked by: Blackie69
Hello, thanks for reaching out about our battery snow blower. It is suggested to store the machine, battery pack and charger in an enclosed, clean, dry area. The machine is best to be stored between the temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius and 49 degrees Celsius, such as a garage or shed area. To protect the longevity of the battery pack, it should be stored and charged in an area between 5 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius.

i have toro lawnmower 60v-6a.Iwant to buy toro snow blower 60v-7.5a can i use battery 60v-6a for that toro snow blower with 60v-7.5a ?

    Asked by: minh
Yes you can. According to the manufacture, the 60v-6a will work on snow blower 60v-7.5a.  Although, I find that my 7.5a is enough to clear 2 car parking spots, 30 foot path, 15-20 patio stone deck and front sidewalk with half to 1/4 charge left.  Definitely a great machine and would recommended for anyone that wants one that is easy to use.

I just received my Toro 21" e21, I charged the battery to 4 bars, but at this time we don't have any snow on the ground, should I take the battery out of the charger and unplug the charger until I need it, or can I leave it in for an extended period?

    Asked by: Mikey
We would recommend removing it from the charger if it is completely charged. Thank you.

is this self propelled like my older model?

    Asked by: rich 21
No, it is not self-propelled. The Power Clear e21 60v cordless snow blower is a push snow blower similar to other battery snow blowers on the market. However the metal drift cutter-like features on the outside edge of the housing do assist you through tough, deep snow. The Power Edge™ auger technology assists in pulling all that heavy wet snow to the middle and out the chute in one swift motion, requiring less push force and increasing your efficiency.
