I needed a miter saw stand that the was compact, as I have limited space, but large enough to accommodate a DeWalt DWS779 12 inch sliding miter saw. This is a very sturdy stand, legs are 1¾ inches in diameter. There's an additional rectangular cross beam that bolts to both ends of the stand with additional brackets that reinforce the the leg pivot points. The leg gussets are welded to the inside of the rails which allows the saw mounting brackets to use the full length of the rails. The extending work supports seem quite solid, and lock in place with very convenient cam locks. The stand is a couple of inches lower than most, this was necessary to allow the legs to fold into a stand with shorter length.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are a DIYER or a pro, you will like this stand. The stand is a bit heavy but it does have wheels to make it easy to move. Once you attach the tool mounts to your saw it snaps in place on the stand. It has a quick release to remove the saw. The legs fold up neatly in the stand to make it more portable. The work stops have both length & height adjustments to work with most materials. If you are doing a larger project such as putting down a wood floor, it will save you time and your back from getting sore.

The rollers on each end really make it easy to cut long work. The stand is the right height for work. The legs are very secure. The stand with my 12" dewalt saw rolls around real good. The only 2 complaints I have is the folded up stand with the saw mounted will not stand up by itself. Second the front handle is too short.

I bought a new Dewalt DWS779 12" sliding saw and wanted a stand for the saw. This appeared to be a good value so I bought it. Once I set it up my saw I ran into a number of issues with the stand. I either had to modify my saw and or the stand. The issues I had were, the extension lock downs interfere with the saw handles, the handle for the stand was too tight with the bolt for the extensions and if you assemble the bolts to hold down the saw they interfered with the right miter stop.miter unless you cut them off. I also felt the unit was too low compared to my old Dewalt saw stand. Most of my issues were with the compatibility to my saw, other saws might not have the same issues

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good miter stand design and can even be improved Pros: Sturdy, well built, reasonably priced Cons: The miter stand cannot be stored upright, which is important, especially for DIYers that only have small working space. I made a small modification to the design so that it can be stored upright with wheels on the ground, by welding a support brace and adding rubber footing to the end plate.

Good strong stand, but had to make several modifications to improve the design. Does not stand up on its own with saw attached so i extended the roller arm stop to make a level plane to stand on. Inverted the roller height adjustment knob to inside of arm to prevent from protrusion and tip point. Cut all bolt heads on saw mounts to allow for saw proper range of motion. These items could easily be done by manufacturer to create a much better saw stand. Also very heavy.

Miter Saw Stand (Model #TB-S510) from Home Depot Online. Overall I have been very pleased with sturdiness of the product. However, the stand has a few negative design features: 1) raiseable roller stop cuts knuckles when using handle; 2) wheel base is narrow, causing the cart to tip over with miter saw attached rolling over uneven ground; 3) extendable rollers wobble when extended; 4) raising and lowering legs is awkward when miter saw is attached (cart wants to rollover onto miter saw Or, cart needs to balance on handle if legs closest to wheel are deployed first.... which does not work well. The Model #TB-S510 is not sufficient for my needs.
