Rated 4 out of 5 by from Garage floor mats Finally got these mats in place. I purchased 2 for my garage. They are not rolled up for ease of placement (should be rolled down side up) so it was a bit of work to get them rolled out. They are wavy but I suspect that in the warmth of summer they will flatten out! So far they look great, but haven't really driven on them much. I did mark one when I pushed my build onto it with car dollies (they are fairly thin). Overall I am pleased. I have been warned though that water will build underneath them if you drive in with excess snow/ice buildup so I will be knocking off as much as possible before parking on them. For the price they appear to be good value.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from won't lay flat I purchased 2 rolls for my 12 x 20 garage. The product seems pretty good other than it won't lay flat and it took 3 weeks to get instead of the quoted 3-5 days. I have some hills that I've tried getting rid of with weight and heat. Hopefully it lays down over time. Anyone had the same issue? Any solution?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Scuffs easy and rolls are different colors I decided to replace the lighter silver color PVC flooring I bought from Home Depot several years ago as it was marked up pretty good after 5 + years in my Garage. That flooring was awesome.. don't know why they Disco'd it. So after a lot of cleaning of the garage floor (Pressure Wash etc) I rolled out both rolls, made the necessary cuts, used 4" Gorillia tape on the main seam and the project actually went pretty smoothly. After it was all done, I opened my Garage door and stood back to admire my new floor. It was only then with the outside light and standing back did I realized that one roll was much darker than the other.. it looks bad. Why would Home depot not ship 2 rolls with the same dye lots? Taking it up and replacing is not an option as it's been trimmed and taped etc. I will contact HD to see if they will refund me a roll... this is unacceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good product I am using this product to try to keep my garage floor dry. (Alberta winter) Our floor is sloped towards the big door, and all the slush off the vehicle flows towards the door, freezes, and then the door does not seal properly. Although this mat is just a flat piece, I used some pieces of wood to ramp up the edges so it contains the water. I need to vaccuum up the water every few days during times when there is alot of slush on the roads. So far its working really well. Yes, the vinyl has a few ripples in it, but I can live with that. Look at the floor, its dry, where previously everything dripped off and across the whole floor and then under the door. I painted the wood pieces to make them more visible, makes backing in much easier, being able to line up with the wood piece. Obviously placing the wood pieces would depend on how your floor is sloped. In this case, I only needed the wood on the front and one side. The other side, I just slipped an old piece of carpet under the edge of the vinyl mat, and its enough to lift the vinyl so the water just runs to the lower side. There are other products out there that have built in dams on the outside, but much more expensive. This one is plenty big for most cars or suv's. I ordered online, and it was delivered right on time, to my door! Working great! I guess my only complaint would be that the product comes from China, seems like we should be able to make this kind of stuff closer to home.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I used this product for flooring in my off grid cabin and I glued it down. I chose it because I thought it would be tough and durable. The product is soft and scuffs very easily, you can not drag anything slightly heavy across it without the flooring getting marked up. I used seam tape on the seams, which seem to work, but now that a few weeks have passed the product seems to be shrinking and the seams are opening up. I will try to use seam sealer once the shrinking stops. It sweeps and cleans up nicely and is better than the bare wood floor it covered.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I thought... The garage flooring was quite flimsy and not what we imagined it would be. Very thin, it does not sit flat on the floor and there are wrinkles and bubbles which will hopefully flatten after time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value but a little thin I bought two of these for my garage three months ago and they look great. They were delivered on time,are easy to install and clean, and are a much simpler solution to improving the garage than using floor paint kits that don't seem to resist hot tire pickup anyway. My only complaint is that they are thinner than the specifications indicated. The description said .8 MM but they are only .2MM. Flooring that is .8MM is typically much more expensive so I was not that surprised they were thinner for the price. However, there were creases despite the protected roll they came in and these take quite a while to flatten out unless you lay it flat in a hot sun for a while before installing it. Hopefully they will be durable enough to last several years but time will tell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reasonable flooring solution The product is easy to cut and shape, which is also a draw back - it is easy to cut, be careful you don’t accidentally cut further than anticipated (yes, that is experience talking). It was a bit difficult to manipulate, given the size of the roll, when you are working in smaller spaces. I can only imagine how easy it must be if you were rolling it out over a garage floor and could just kick the roll and away it goes. The roll is heavy for one person to work with but the flooring itself is light, bendable, shiftable for one person. It is thinner than I anticipated and I did use care as I was dragging steel shelving back into place across the floor. For regular walking traffic, I expect it to hold up adequately.

I'm curious as to whether the floor gets slippery if liquids are spilled on it, or in the winter is it slippery... Second question is that I would likely glue it to the floor during installation, what kind of adhesive is suggested for glueing it?

Flooring is great, we have had it 2 winters & never had a problem with slipping. Never glued ours down, it doesn’t move, but it goes to the edges of the rooms.

Has anyone glued this down permanently with a vinyl adhesive? If so, what adhesive did you use?

I suppose it could be glued down permanently if desired, but I do not know. I just let mine lay flat (as possible) on the floor, and used some duct tape to tape the pieces together along the edges. There are some edges not lying completely flat because of the way it was on the roll. It's kind of annoying to see it all the time, but I'm living with it. Vinyl adhesive would take care of that issue, if you plan for the garage floor mat to be on the floor permanently.

I was wondering if this would work on my balcony to cover the top so I would not drop anything at the bottom of my walk out. Balcony is 22 ft. By 8 ft. Would this product withstand on the winter outside? Any suggestions.

Yes it can. We would pressure wash it as well. And after winter wash it with soap. We placed it on painted cement floor to protect the paint.
