Rated 4 out of 5 by from Year end review I put this material down about a year ago. Positives: looks good, easy installation, affordable, good adhesion and so far they seem to wear well. Negatives: they scratch a little too easily. I have been very careful with chair legs and moving appliances, etc., but they still scratch. My installation was with grout and in some areas, I have very fine cracks between the grout and the tile. Not in all areas. I followed the installation instructions carefully so I don't know the cause of these cracks. I've regrouted the areas and it seems to have solved most of the problems. I put the material over Hardiboard and I screwed the Hardiboard to the plywood subfloor. Some of the screw heads were not perfectly flush with the Hardiboard and over time, the screws caused the tile to crack. My fault completely, but I mention this as a caution, be sure that the surface you lay these tiles onto is smooth. I was able to replace those tiles, recess the screws and it now looks great. By the way, the tiles stuck to the Hardiboard very well. Peeling those tiles up took some real effort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love I laid these today with my four year old son and I have to say for the ease and cost they are amazing. When used with grout they look just like real tile! I plan to use them in my basement bathroom as well!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cool Grey-great looking but scratches Installing this tile was very simple and looks great with the Delorean grey grout. However, a couple weeks after installation the tile surface started to get scratched (by things like the plastic caps on bottom of a kitchen chair and wheels from a small vacuum) and it REALLY sticks out! I was very happy at first with the product but now I'm questioning how long the tile will even last.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from looks nice Just installed. Pretty easy to install. Cuts are a little tough but that is because it is so thick. I expect it to be very durable. I did not do the grout install, I can see it would work well. If you are thinking grouting, I think the result would be better than you think. I gave a 4 because it is new and can't address durability. I believe it will be fine, but the jury is still out on that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product We used this product in a bathroom and it came out so well we did another bathroom, then a laundry room, and were so pleased with it we put it in a walk in closet at a rental property. While looking at my husband's workbench area in our garage, I decided to put these tiles over the ugly old chipboard top of his workbench. His workbench is extremely cluttered, and it took me exactly 22 minutes to clear the clutter, put the tile on, and put the clutter back. No grout was used for the workbench top, but the previous other projects were grouted and look so much like "real" tile no one knows the difference. The next project will definitely be a kitchen floor...most likely in coastal gray 12 x 24 tiles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great and Easy to Install These tiles look like real stone but the installation effort is well within the realm of a do-it-yourselfer and much easier than ceramic or stone. We installed them in a laundry area without grout but used them again with grout in a bathroom. We were concerned about the moisture in the bathroom getting under the tiles so we decided to grout. The grout enhanced the illusion that these are stone tiles. You'll need a sharp knife and straight edge to cut the tiles. Just score and then flex them and break the tile along the score line. Use sharp scissors to cut irregular shapes. Some tips we can pass on from experience: - If going over bare concrete, first use the primer product. Our local store gave us the Henry brand primer. - The tiles are thick enough to go over an existing embossed vinyl floor and the old pattern will not telescope through the tile. Just clean the old floor several times. - Heat a few tiles in the oven, or just leave them outside in the sun in the box if it's hot enough. You're not trying to cook the tiles, just soften them a bit so that they flex a bit better and cut easier. Also it makes the glue gummier so that they'll stick better. - If using the recommended Simple Grout, remember that the instructions on the grout can relate to stone and ceramic tile. Vinyl is never mentioned. Instead, follow the instructions on the Trafficmaster box. Don't waste your money on a rubber float. They're great for ceramic but they tend to smear too much grout on the tiles which can be hard to clean because Simple Grout sets fast. Instead, but a cheap plastic putty knife/spreader for about a dollar. As suggested by Trafficmaster, place the grout on the tip of the putty knife and force the grout into the cavity between the tiles. Then place the putty knife at a 90 degree angle over the grout line and gently scrape off the excess. You can immediately use the excess grout in the next section of tile so nothing is wasted. - If grouting, keep a bucket of clean water and a sponge (any sponge will do) handy. Never do more than 24 inches or grout line at a time because the grout sets fast. Wash the residue gently and remove the excess grout and haze from the tile. You can use the sponge to smooth the grout line. Don't use the putty knife for smoothing, just use the wet sponge. The grout contains sand so your bucket and sponge will fill fast with sand. Change the water frequently but don't dump the water down your drain because the sand may clog your pipes. Rinse the sponge frequently. Grouting goes very fast. Just be careful and clean the tiles as you go along. Don't walk on the tiles for 24 hours to allow the grout to set. Only time will tell how durable the tiles are. They're thick and should hold up under chairs and furniture.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks great but not tough Put this down this weekend, it looked really great and was really impressed with it. After two days of my dogs running a crossed it, I saw scratches in the floor that wouldn't come out! In the end, tile is much more involved than this "stuff" But forever...

I want to install this product in my travel trailer ( rv ) about 90 square ft. Will it work in my camper?

    Asked by: Ronknee
Thank you for your question. No, this product is not recommended for that type of installation because it is not climate controlled year round between 65-85 degrees.
