Rated 1 out of 5 by from Congratulations Great Paint Worst Ever Cap Must congratulate Tremclad for winning the award for worst spray nozzle ever. I have been using Tremclad since 1980. Would say tat the primer paint is the best I have ever used, however the new spray nozzles are the worst I have ever used. They clog up half way through the contents of the can, or they leak paint all over your hands when painting. So engineers, stop taking credit for the new nozzles and get to work fixing the issues with the new nozzles. I will continue to use the paint, It is that good, but I will curse you nozzle engineers when I do.

Either way, nine dollars wasted and now I am in the market for a primer from someone else. Don't buy this garbage. If they can't even make a functional nozzle, I'm probably lucky that I avoided using their primer.

Hi Tim222, Yes, you can topcoat our Tremclad Galvanized Metal White primer with our Universal Farmhouse Matte Black spray paint within the hour of your last coat of primer or after 48 hours or more to avoid wrinkling.

I posted a Q on the Grey Rust Primer (non-aerosol) & wondered if this would also work on Black Sharpie Permanent Marker. I did that too! Will it cover it up & I can paint over w/out the Black Marker bleeding thru?

We would recommend Zinsser BIN to hide the marks from the black marker. Note that Zinsser BIN is recommended for interior surfaces only.
