The day it was to be delivered I got a call saying they were sold out of the 20' and would I accept a shorter length or the grooved which I did expecting that I would be able to order the capped decking to finish off which was not the case. Apparently it was discontinued and no longer available in any size. Had to go with a different colour and brand. It did work out but with many delays. I have to say the Home Depot staff were more than helpful in this case. This issue I have is with the online purchase indicating there is stock when there isn't.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It gets very hot in sun It is much heavier and flimsier than wood so keep that in mind when having to transport long pieces or installing where weight may be an issue. Very solid once fastened tho. Also it gets extremely hot in the sun on hot days it could definitely burn yours or kids feet if u go on it bare foot. I installed it on a shaded balcony of a seasonal property so I was most concerned with the maintenance free aspect of it.

I ordered 1 inch by 6 inch decking and it showed up and was 5-1/2 inch by 1 inch. I guess they make it like dimensional lumber as that’s not the proper measurements they advertise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product Resurfaced our existing cedar deck with Trex Select composite boards and could not be happier. Very impressed. Used the Trex Hideaway Universal Hidden Fastener and Trex Start clips for grooved boards which worked great. Used the Trex recommended Starborn Pro Plug System for the square boards which were horrible. Plugs worked, but most if not all screws stripped resulting in boards needing to be replaced. Buyer beware when using this recommended fastener.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lives up to the Trex website! Excellent product! Easy to cut, easy to install with the composite screws. Best to use an impact drill and appropriate impact bit. Had to rip one of the boards and found it easy to do as long as you take it slow and don't allow the blade to overheat (ripped 7' board). Also recommend buying the "joist savers" as they self seal when screwing the Trex boards down!

Glad HD still carrying this same product. The original boards held up good to the elements so no problem get more

I have heard composite boards can get quite hot. How is the pebble grey in the summer time?

Like many other outdoor surfaces, such as concrete, asphalt, beach sand, wood decking, other brands of composite decking, etc., Trex decking can get hot due to weather and sun exposure. On such days, care needs to be taken to make sure skin does not have extended contact with the surface of the deck, especially with young children and those with special needs. Please note also that the darker the color, the hotter the deck will feel. For hotter climates, consumers should consider choosing a lighter color
