Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mid range price for what seems mid range quality I bought this snowblower because I have a large country property with a very long driveway and need to clear to the barns. Start up is easy. Maneuverability is ok. Hand warmers are nice. Reverse is way too slow. Needs one extra reverse speed I'm questioning the quality though. I ran over a stuffed dog toy which was under the snow and it got caught up in the augers. The shear pins did not break. The auger blade bent completely backwards. I contacted the manufacturer and they said that seemed normal. No way is that normal. The pins should have broke to avoid any damages. The auger blades are so thin I just bent it back into place with some raging strength. Overall buy it if you want but be sure to use your x-ray vision to pick up stuff under the snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It blows - really well. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Have used it twice now and it works great. Not much new snow, but we had a ton of snow over the past few days and the snowplow driver's were clearly part-timers. Left huge windrows. Then we had a melt-freeze cycle. My last snowblower would have clogged in a heart beat, but I thought I would give it a try with the new one. Hucked the snow really far and didn't clog at all. The snow was a mix of slush, ice, and snow about a foot deep. Very impressed.

How do you use the electric start? It does not come with a cord to plug it in. You would think for this price, it would include all accessories... geez...

Asked by: Annie
You simply require any 3 prong (grounded) extension cord. Plug into the snow blower and press the orange button- it starts up immediately. Works wonderfully.

how to reconnect the reverse cable it went off.

Asked by: manny
Thank you for your question. Page 16 of the operator manual describes a simple adjustment to connect the speed selector cable and achieve all forward and reverse speeds. Please contact the manufacturer at 1-800-668-1238 or techcanada@mtdproducts.com for assistance.

With my old tire snowblower I can tilt the machine back and get up a 4-5 inch elevation from my walkway to my driveway so can this tracked machine do the same ?

Asked by: Steve Rob
Thank you for your interest! We'd recommend you visit a store to get hands-on with this premium track-drive snow thrower and determine if you are able to tilt the machine as desired. It is designed for exceptional stability and the pivot point is moved rearward for excellent performance in deep snow.
