Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap plastic component = broke right away The first Surelock tension shower rod that I bought broke within a day of purchase when the plastic screw that holds the wall suction cup to the rod snapped. I really like the design of this shower curtain so I bought a second one, thinking that I just had a bit of bad luck with the first one. Unfortunately the same thing happened with the second Surelock tension shower rod I purchased - the same plastic screw snapped right in half after a few days of use. I do not recommend this item.

After looking around, this product was not only the best but fairly priced. The suctioned ends make the difference between this and others, they just don't compare. Our tub walls are slightly angled which effects traditional rods but not this one

We bought this from another tenant in our building (the guy up-charged, lucky us), and within about a month of use the plastic screw attached to one of the suction cups snapped. This is bad design, and I'm embarrassed for Umbra that it carries their name. Cheap garbage and overpriced.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from frustrating did not stay up long. kept falling. very frustrating experience. There is no special 'lock' mechanism, as advertised. It's just like any other rod-- you twist it so it stays put (that is what they call the 'lock' feature). I had to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely a must buy! Really easy to install. It really does not slip at all. Feels solid. It has a really nice chrome finish which makes it look very good on my bathroom. I also recommend using it along with the Umbra Flex Shower Rings.
