Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool fridge! We just bought this fridge for a log cabin. It is perfect! Cool retro design, small footprint, lots of space compared to the apartment sized fridge it replaces. The drawers in the freezer are very handy, and having the main fridge at eye level is very convenient. Cooling and freezing compartments work well. The unit is quiet and very energy efficient. The only concern is having to make sure no food touches the back wall, where it will freeze. The instructions indicate this area needs to be kept clear for air circulation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super cute We have only had the fridge for about 2 weeks but so far we love it. It’s on the small side as expected but it’s perfect. We are a family of four and while waiting for the fridge our current one was broken. So we had already adjusted to small fridge space. But it’s a bonus. We don’t waste any food at all now. Where as before we would fill a regular sized fridge and waste so much food. I’d much rather go to the store for fridge items twice a week then spend it all at once and not use up before it had gone bad. Absolutely love the retro look. Shipping was a bit on the crazy side and had a couple bumps in the road but Home Depot was so good with us. When the time comes we will be definitely switching out our current gas stove for the matching one.

Lots more storage room then I expected. The quality and finishes are quite nice. Cools and freezes well..very quiet. The fridge itself is very stylish, inside and out. Retro and modern. Beautiful colour. You will have to use the little scraper that comes with the fridge as it is a manual defrost. My friend bought one as well and he loves it.

The downside is the delivery service. The refrigerator was delivered and when I opened the box, the corner of the refrigerator was slightly broken and scratched.

Hi - Can you tell me if the door opening is fixed or is it possible for me to change it? For example, in the picture, it appears to open from left to right. I would prefer it to open the opposite way. Can this be changed by me (like many other appliances)

Is this fridge manual defrost? So it builds ice like in the old fridges?!

Yes it is manual defrost, but it is so energy efficient that frost doesn’t seem to build up. We haven’t defrosted since we bought it in June 2021.

Is the plug at a right angle or is it a more standard straight out plug? i.e. if the outlet is directly behind the fridge will the plug contribute significantly to the depth of the fridge from the wall?

The plug is a straight out standard one. But the fridge should have an air space behind it anyway so it doesn’t interfere.

I purchased this fridge 22 inches and 8.7 c7 ft but it’s building ice inside the back wall of fridge  Is this normal and how can i fix this will it always have ice build up

Yes, our 9 cu/ft Retro Fridge is a manual defrost fridge which means water and ice is common on the back wall. Every scenario is different depending on where the unit is located and how it is used. For example, if the unit is in an non-heated environment then there will always be frost build-up because the compressor is constantly running due to being too hot/cold. The first step would be to turn down the temperature to help elevate the build-up and ensure hot foods are not put in the fridge. It is also a good idea to fully defrost the fridge once in a while.

Our 7 cu/ft Retro Fridge is quiet once at temperature. The compressor will only kick on momentarily to keep the fridge at temp. You are welcome to read the reviews for the opinion of our customers about the sound level.
