Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value I had struggled with the costs as I was putting in 700 sq feet of decking in total. But I am so glad I went with this product. After 2 summers and our second winter it looks good as new. Absolutely no maintenance at all compared to other decks I’ve owned. Only issue is there is a fair amount of expansion and retraction from summer to winter so ensure you install accordingly. I highly recommend this product. I’ve already done one deck extension and the old and new deck matched perfectly. Looking to do the second and last extension in the front this spring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plain Composite decking This decking is what it is. It is the least expensive boards available. It is a solid color so there is no "COLOR" grain in it.... There is a "texture" grain molded into the board... The sizing is the same as all other boards.. The quality, in my opinion is the same as other brands (In my opinion).. I used these boards, a different color design, 6 years ago and still holding up.... I read one review talk about the boards getting hot and not being able to walk on them in bare feet... That is true with all composite boards in direct sunlight... I chose these boards as I wanted an economical solution to the back porch / deck that I never wanted to touch or stain again... If it were a different situation I would have used something more aesthetically pleasing but this decking serves its purpose.. All in all, it is a decent product..

Surface looks nice with subtle wood looking. Not hotter under the sun than dark wood. No nails one piece, we walk bare feet on it. Great warranty. Home Depot delivery was perfect. Best price for a grey decking choice I find. It is capped all around unlike other options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great investment compared to wood boards The only down side is your joist can be maximum 16" apart (as opposed to 24" for wood boards). Other than that it is much easier to clean and maintain. I would never go back to wooden deck after seeing how beautiful this is.

Can I install some of the boards directly on grade covered with landscape filter cloth (to prevent weeds growing up through the joints) as a base for installing the decking boards? My project is a narrow strip (formerly grass) 34"w and 20'L?

Of course you can cut the boards.   I used a  Skil saw with a regular blade.   I also ripped a board lengthwise to be able to fit it in.

Could we install a pergola on a deck with this composite? I am planning to have concrete footings and 2 by6 framing and planning to build a 12' by 12' feet floating deck. Please advise.

Hi, i would not see a problem with doing that. my deck is 20x14 with the same framing as you and i have put a 10x12ft. gazebo on it and screwed it to the deck. The gazebo is probably lighter than what you will be putting up but with the proper framing i don't see a problem. I really liked working with this product and after one winter where i shoveled it off several times there is not a mark on it.

Hello Renu, Thank you for your inquiry. Because you will be using these boards where moisture will be present and they will be sitting in soil, we recommend that you use Veranda Ultra Light as it is impervious to moisture.

How well does this product endure bird poop and frequent shoveling of snow and ice?

Hello Katie, as with any decking material it is recommend that any spills or soils be cleaned up as soon as possible. There is no indication that bird poop will harm the decking. When shoveling snow we recommend a plastic shovel and it is safe to use an ice melt product on the decking”.

Can we overhang the deckboards so that the fascia sits just under the board, or does the board have to be flush and fully supported by a joist? If we can overhang, what's the maximum allowed overhang?

@ cenexxed, I wouldn't overhang decking. This product, in particular, has a "hollow" underneath, so it would not even look right. In general, you should not overhang any material that is not on edge. Some people do this for a roof overhang, but I wouldn't even recommend that. There is no strength overhanging material when it is laying flat.
