What kind of post base I can use to secure the post to my deck?

Hi Dan, if your deck is wood you can use a 4x4 post. There is also a post mount option/hardware kit that can be used.on wood surface. Hello Gamcelot, The outside dimension of the post sleeve is 4”x 4”. The inside dimension is slightly larger than 3-5/8”x 3-5/8” with an approximate wall thickness of 3/16”.
