Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Door We just completed the installation and overall the door is great. Very well built and high end looking. We looked at other custom options and this was a great value. It is without question a two person install as the panels are very heavy. The instructions leave a lot to be desired and could be cleaned up a lot. Having never installed this kind of door before it took us about 3 hours. If the instructions were clearer I think this could be taken down to just a couple of hours. If you are mechanically inclined at all and have some help and the tools save the high installation charges from others and go this route.

I installed it myself despite several warnings on the installation guide to have it installed by a professional. This door is incredibly heavy, and requires two people to install. I almost returned it because I didn't think my wall was strong enough to support it....until I realized that the majority of the weight is supported from the middle of the threshold. I still cant seem to stop the leaking from the bottom, but that may be due to the threshold not being level. Nothing a little silicone caulk can't handle. Super thick glass and quality heavy duty stainless hardware. Great buy. A similar door I looked at was over 1900$ at Lee and Cates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shower Door! We installed a new shower during our remodel and wanted a frame-less door that didn't leak. We are so pleased with the door in all ways and highly recommend it. I did a lot of research online and this door had consistently great reviews. We did follow the advice of some reviewers and chose antique rather than oil rubbed bronze. It's a great match for our fixtures because we didn't want black. The contractor said it was nice that the door was adjustable for width. Everything about this door is good, we don't get any leakage outside of the shower. The built in shelves look nice and are really functional. I have never had a shower this nice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The shower door was beautiful but... Absolutely loved the door but reluctantly we had to return it to the store. We were wanting to use it with our existing shower pan and tiled shower stall. Reading the instructions and contacting tech support we found out that the stationary panel has to be anchored into a stud to support the weight of the glass. We weren't interested in tearing out a section of the floor to ceiling tile wall to add in an additional stud for the brackets. Also, we found out the shower pan edge we planned to erect the door on was hollow and would need to be reinforced. Had we been doing new construction or remodeling an older bathroom all the way down to the framework it would have worked great... we just couldn't safely retrofit it into what we had.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product We just installed the shower door (36" two piece unit). The installation went well with the exception of the threshold. The instructions were vague on how to position and attached the piece to the shower base. We drilled a new mounting hole and mounted the piece with silicon sealant and a extra screw at the right end. Two threshold end pieces were provided but they were for either right or left mounting not for the other end of the threshold. The unit is great very sturdy and well made. The other exception is that there is no stop on the door allowing it to swing into the shower pass the threshold.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Shower Door This is my first time to install this frameless shower door myself. It is not difficult to install. The manual instructions was confuse but I had to spend more time to figure out. Everything was good. Only one thing I did not satified was a threshold piece at the bottom of a door is too low. If I take a longer shower the water will leak out at the bottom. The water seal came with a door did help to stop a leak. I have to purchase a other bottom seal to replace it to stop the leak. Other then that I was very happy with Vigo product.

The bottom seal on the door fails to keep water from getting under the door when the shower is used. My contractor has checked the seal and it is installed to spec. For a door this expensive I certainly did not expect to have water get under the door when using the shower! Take a look at this picture.

We really liked the quality of the door and the price was very reasonable. It was a little hard to install and the instructions seemed to be a bit lacking in explanation. It took two of us and at times we needed a couple more helping hands since the glass is very heavy. But we love the finished product.

Sure, this unit can be mounted on a fiberglass shower base. If you do not feel comfortable screwing into the base, an epoxy could be used in place of the screws. Please just be sure to get the appropriate epoxy.

The vertical door handle should be on outside of glass

I am trying to figure out the right way to install the door threshold and the seal strips. Dose the door handle assembly showing in your installation instruction guide on the wrong side of glass? From the item 1 and 2 show in the page 2 and FIG.8 you cannot open door.

The vertical handle should be installed on the outside of the door enabling you to open the door. The horizontal towel rack is designed to be on the inside of the enclosure unit.
