This "Enriched" lawn soil is TOTALLY UNSUITABLE for use on a lawn as advertised as it is full of chopped up twigs which vary in size from 1/8 to 3/8 of an inch in diameter and three to four inches long as well as similar sized bark chunks together with plastic film bits that look like shredded grocery store shopping bag material as well as bits of other unidentifiable junk. It could possibly be used as filler in a garden, but even then why bother when better products are available. A complete waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I picked this up on sale for what I thought was a very good value to use as top dressing for my lawn. It spread well and I thought it would be good. After watering it turns out this is about 1/2 soil and 1/2 mulch. The soil settled into the sod but it now looks like I spread bark mulch over my lawn. To make it worse, the mix is littered with small bits of plastic bags that seem to have been shredded up and in the bag.

The product has almost as many twigs and pieces of wood, remnants of black plastic, than actual soil. It says 'enriched lawn soil'-enriched with garbage!! I paid a bit more for this product than other ones advertising the same purpose, only to find that it is NO DIFFERENT! DISAPPOINTED I would have returned these bags except that both were opened.

I purchased several bags to plant grass seeds on the front lawn, there was no soil just wood chips and sticks. I wasted time and money planting the seeds but because there was little soil the seeds wouldn’t grow I had to rake up all the sticks and woods chips off the lawn which looked terrible. I definitely would not recommend this soil to anyone. Totally dissatisfied. I would really like to attach the photos of what I raked up off the lawn but there no place here for me to upload them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garden mulch would be a better description Emptied 2 bags into a wheelbarrow to break up lumps, and had to screen the contents to remove debris. Ended up with over half of a 20L pail of mulch. More work than I wanted, but all not lost - was able to top up a flower bed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not put on your lawn! I purchased this lawn soil for my lawn of all things. Big mistake. After pouring on my lawn I then had to spend the next hour on my hands and knees picking rocks, wood and plastic out of my lawn. There is also hard clay in this soil so even after you get the bulk of the rocks and other stuff out of it you will have the clay balls to contend with. This area will require a fair bit of attention now to make it look good again. I cannot stress enough that you should not buy this for your lawn.

Bought a total of 7 bags and spread them throughout the lawn; spread great and settled nicely. Some mulch was present, but nothing considerable. Seems to be doing its job, I mixed some seed into it to overseed the lawn, we will see how that goes in the next couple of days. As it stands now, I am happy with the way it looks. No Complaints.

In 2022 is this product still full of uncomposted twigs, wood chips etc  as in previous years ?  The 'guarantee' is little comfort if I spend 1//2 a day spreading 50 bags on my lawn and it ends up looking like I unloaded a wood chipper on it ... thanks

It's been over a year since I used this product but I don't remember it being anything other than what looked like good quality soil (no twigs, bark mulch). The grass seed took hold quickly and grew really well. I would definitely recommend.

How much area does one 30L bag cover

Coverage and how much to apply depends on how the Vigoro Ultra Turf Enriched Lawn Soil is being used.When seeding, sodding, or applying plugs to a bare lawn or spot in the lawn apply a 2.5 cm (1 inch) layer and mix into native soil to a depth of 2.5 cm (1 inch). When overseeding, topdress lawn with a 3-6mm (1/8"- 1/4") layer prior to spreading grass seed.

Is it cheaper to get the 1 Yard bag delivered or the equivelent in bags,how many bags would that be. is is weed free. Thank you

There is 765 litres in 1 cubic yard, so if a bag is 30 litres, you can get 25 bags. So depending on price, it is cheaper by the bag rather than cubic yard.
