Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet unit - but some concerns.... I bought this 7.0 cu ft chest freezer about 3 weeks ago. I am glad it is much quieter than my old dying freezer and even quieter than my newer fridge. The freezer is kept in a cool shaded corner of our main floor kitchen, and sits on tile on a cement slab foundation, with plenty of air circulation around it. (all that to say, it is not a warm area) My only complaints so far are: 1) When I opened the box, there was a large oval indentation/impression on the top of the lid of the freezer. The outside of the box looked fine, which leads me to believe the lid was imperfect before it was boxed. However, I was desperate for a freezer and had lugged it home and inside by myself, so I could not afford the time or the energy to repackage, reload, and drive it an hour back to the store to try to get a different one. 2) After a few weeks of it running, I noticed that in the back inside right corner frost builds up daily on the rim and on the lid where it touches that part of the rim. I live alone, and only open the freezer once a day quickly for one item. But each day I have to wipe frost out of that corner, and the lid clean before closing the freezer door. I sure hope this isn't a sign of a bad seal! I will try to attach photos of each thing, but they are hard to see in pics unless you look closely.

Le second acheté fait la même chose malheureusement, donc j’ai mis un tapis en rubber en dessous, mais ça provoque tout de même beaucoup d’humidité dans la pièce. Je ne racheterai jamais ce congélateur.

Condensation. There is not enough space underneath the freezer for optimal air flow. Just raise the freezer with two pieces of wood, wipe dry underneath, and the problem should be solved.
