I think a warranty issue is going to be coming up, particulaly as I put 3 coasts of marine varnish on the wooden parts before putting it outside (and I’m not on the water). I’m assuming a hammock is designed to be used outdoors, no?

My one major complaint is that we had to get a can of poly and seal it ourselves. The "treatment" they gave it is superficial just to say it's treated or weatherproof. Nothing is made well or to last these days. This is no exception.

However, the manufacturer Vivere really needs to evaluate and revise their assembly instructions and the parts (especially the screws) that are included. Instructions are not clear to follow. Also, the four screws that are needed are provided as flat-head as opposed to the hexa-bolt that are shown on Vivere's website assembly video. You need the hexa-bolt screws and not the flat-head ones that are given. Also, of the four nut-bolt screws, three came threaded and one was not. This discrepancy makes for a not-so-straightforward assembly. Please correct this.
