Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Poor Product This product is very poorly made and very frustrating to install. The motor on one unit I purchased out of 2 had burnt out. The plastic is so cheap my tray broke when pushing it. The tabs that hold the tray in broke on one side. The lid closing system is very poorly designed. Be careful, if you apply too much pressure anywhere, parts will break as did with mine. The tray full of water fell on the floor due to one of the tabs breaking off. With how cheap the parts are on this unit, I would never ever consider buying anything that this manufacturer produces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine, easy to install. It looks complicated when you just open the box as there are many parts, but dont worry. There is CD with video instructions how to install it. I didn't notice CD and used manual so it looked complicated but it is not. Can be installed in 3 hours by inexperienced person. It works fine and does its job. It comes with humidistat which they recommend to install on return duct. You can install it anywhere on the wall in your house as well but than you need extra wires and time and effort. The only thing I don't like that it can not be interlocked with your furnace so it spins all the time even when the furnace is off. Waste of electricity. But there is no noise, so I decided its ok. I do recommend this product as it works and easy to install. Considering the price this is very good product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wait 1000 humidifier This is a very, very poorly built machine. Purchased March 2013, failed November 2013. Turned off during the summer. The drum is so flimsy it will not stand-up to replacing the evaporator. It is not strong enough to maintain the proper shape. The motor failed. I'm replacing this unit with an entirely different brand. I would not buy this product again even though I had a previous Wait that last for many years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor product I purchased this humidifier yesterday as a replacement for a 'Healthy Climate flow-through' model. Typically, drum style will put more water into the air, as there is more surface area. This item is not for the novice. I am a licensed tradesman with four decades of experience. 1) The float valve is very poorly made. It doesn't shut off completely. I used the electric valve from the prior install to stop water flow during off-time. 2) The connection for the water inlet doesn't seal, I had to use thread tape on the nylon compression sleeve. 3) The plastic nut for the valve installation snapped with finger tightening. 4) The housing comes in many warped individual pieces which must be assembled. I had to use a heat gun to straighten them. 5) The pan is not level. It will slope to the front, the overfill drain is at the rear. 6) There is no hole to mount the float valve on the side opposite the motor. I had to make one. 7) The housing is flimsy and since the top mounting holes were too far toward the centre, it hung like a wet rag. I had to make more mounting holes closer to the edge. 8) The bypass flex hose was too small in diameter. I had to use the old one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from SImple is sometimes better Not the fanciest humidifier out there but does the job just fine. Living in the boonies I needed one that was 100% water efficient and this does just that. Had a small problem with the drum as it got bent in shipping but the company resolved this VERY quickly with a new one. PS: The video shows the install using tin snips but I used a jig saw with a metal cutting blade, much faster and easier on the hands

Rated 5 out of 5 by from :-) I purchase the Wait 1000 humidifier and install it with ease , not so flimsy as people say . The book instructions are Ok , but the Wait compagnie is nice enough to supply a installation DVD , showing step by step how to install the humidifier. The only withdraw was the humidifier was previously sold and put back on shelf , it was missing screws , bags open , the diagram to put on the furnace was already cut .For the price and the quality of the product ,I was really please .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to install Bought this and installed last month. The optional drain hole was already cut open which I didn't want to use it. Currently have a bucket under it to catch the extra water . Trying to get the float adjustment set properly will probably have it all set up just in time to shut it down for the season

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inexpensively made, and priced that way, too I purchased and installed this humidifier in November 2012, just over one year ago. While it is true that it's pretty much all plastic construction, I have not had any problems with the tray breaking, the evaporator drum collapsing while replacing the pad, or the motor failing. It was purchased on sale for $70 and has been working well, adding the proper level of humidity to the air. I also like that it does not waste water the way bypass humidifiers do.
