WATCO® Lacquer Clear Wood Finish is the finest brushing lacquer available. WATCO®Lacquer fills in the pores of most wood types eliminating the need for wood filler. Apply to furniture, doors, cabinets and paneling for a crystal-clear, durable wood finish. Dries in 30 minutes and does not require sanding between coats. Please read product labels for additional directions and precautions before using.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good results, hard to work with This lacquer makes a very nice end result on your wood products. But it is very difficult to work with as it starts to turn into gummy glue after only a few minutes. What I had to do in order to make a smooth cover was to almost pour it on and brush at the same time. I like the product and that it is fast drying, but they could have given you 20 mins before it starts to gum up instead of 3 mins. All in all, happy with the result but should be easier to brush it out over a surface.

Will this lacquer fill wood grain on woods like East Indian Rosewood??

I've used this product spraying Oak,Walnut and it doesn't fill in any of the grain but leaves a nice finish. You have to use lacquer thinner to thin the product down in order to spray. I gone through around 20 gallons of this stuff with good results

Is this good to use for finishing on stairs?

I have used it on stairs before. 3 or 4 spray coats things down. It's okay but I would suggest a better quality product if they are high traffic.
